What a nightmare! Where do I begin... Dr. Rooney did surgery on my mom's broken femur. Never once has he returned our phone calls since she got home pleading to know how bad the break was, her aftercare, etc. No referral was made to P.T. as he and Lompoc Hospital stated they were going to do. She's been lying in bed, unable to move for over a week now. Still no contact from Dr. Rooney as he let his staff simply tell my mom that she will now need to be seen face to face in order to get the referral for P.T. She's 84 years old for goodness sakes. Now in order to know what he did and what we as a family should be doing to make her stronger and healthy again, we shall get the records from the hospital. What poor medical the elderly and those on Medicare get these days!

Very confident doctor. Takes time to explain everything in detail when it came to looking at my MRI and x-rays, I highly recommend this doctor!

I have had multiple spine operations over the years from the 'best' at Swedish and UW. Each operation I was 'different' than I started but never better per se. I met Dr. Rooney accompanying a friend to his visit and came back for him to look at me. He reviewed everything and explained that although my prior surgeries weren't wrong, they didn't take into account the entire 'picture' of my spinal column. The spine had to be balanced, taking into account my hips and how I stood upright. I researched him exhaustively and had a long frank discussion about his Army time and the healthcare charges (that were dropped last month). He rebuilt my spine and now I stand up straight, pain free. I trust him completely and totally and am ashamed that our own government tried to destroy his career. I would recommend him to everyone. Now I know why he has won all of the awards he has from the other surgeons in his field.
