Dr. Richard Anthony Rowe, MD

Dr. Rowe is clearly knowledgeable, and I believe him to be a more than competent doctor, but beyond that he is kind and patient man who inspires, I believe, well founded trust. He took time to explain my MRI images to me and discuss options. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a doctor.

I first met Dr Rowe while I was in the hospital. I was nervous and confused because he said I needed to be in a back and a neck brace. At the six weeks point I had a follow-up in his office. He was calm, reassuring, and made me feel at ease. God brought Dr Rowe into my life at this point in order to help me heal.

the only reason we went to this office is bc we were referred there. during my dads hospital stay he was at atrium we dont feel he received the care he should've received. he was dischared waaayyy too early for his condition. after rasing hell in the hospital i was basically told BY HIS OWN NURSE PRACTITIONER that if youre not insured he doesnt have patience for the patient. after waiting hrs in the hospital days on end calling leaving messages only to never be answered. he NEVER showed his face, never retured my calls, never showed any concern for my dad bc he was an alcoholic with serious brain masses and brain bleeds. my dad was dischared alone, NO ONE called to say your dad is being dischared or your dad will soon be dischared.. a FAMILY MEMBER works at atrium and was told by another nurse that her brother (my dad) was in discharge. when my FAMILY MEMBERS got down to dischare, they read the discharge papers to find out he was released with no ride, no phone call. he was written… off as fall risk, confused, and malnourished., with acute sub-dermal hematoma.... No INFO ON DISCHARGE PAPERS OF THE 2 BRAIN BLEEDS THAT HE HAS . Oh and the follow up office visit, after being called back, we could hear him talking and greeting other patients. he seemed so happy and cheerful until he walked in our room.. we waited 2 hrs for a 5 min nonchalant ,short visit. he seemed to be aggravated with us. and very agitated with my questions. NO BEDSIDE MANNERS RUDE. RUDE. RUDE. this isn't over, that discharge was horrible. my dad could've walked off the premises, alone and confused..never to be seen again...if it wasn't for his nurse.

When another Neurosurgeon write me off as not appropriate for treatment and only medical retirement, Dr Rowe assessed and offered options his care and skills surpassed anything I could have imagined. I have feeling in my legs, mobility and am preparing to return to life and working a few more years thanks to his expertise.

I was referred to a neurosurgeon in his office and had tests ran. The doctor ran a lot of tests and never gave up. Most doctors do. He wanted a second opinion so I was sent to Dr Rowe. Dr Rowe ordered tests and decided to do a shunt tap to find out if the shunt was draining. It was not. So he did the surgery and I got some relief from my headaches. I was very dizzy and severely nauseated. He changed the shunt setting and I was still having the same problems, but a couple of months passed I noticed things slowly getting better. It is very rare to find a neurosurgeon who won't give up when a condition is complicated.

Office staff is friendly but certain medical staff not so much. Wait times between surgery and follow up appointments is unacceptable. Wait times at appointments is ridiculous. Dr. Rowe is probably the most uncaring physician I have ever seen. He is more interested in the number of patients he sees rather than providing quality care to existing patients…he pretty much told me this during one of my few post-op visits. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Initial consultation was thorough and Dr. Rowe explain all the possible actions that could take place during surgery. The competent and compassionate explanation made me feel he cared about the outcome and would do his utmost best, no seconds bests. He demands perfection from himself and his team in surgery and would accept nothing else. He immediately scheduled me for surgery the next week to remove tumor in my spine. Saw two Drs from Optim HealthCare who seemed to think my tumor was no big deal and still have not heard from them for scheduling, basically felt like a cattle call at there office, in and out no questions no answers we will you for scheduling. See you. Dr. Rowe is a real Dr. Who does it right the first time. Hooo-Rah.

Very satisfied with Dr Rowe and everyone in his office. Easy to get in and out and Dr Rowe takes time to answer any questions and is concerned about making sure everything is taken care off. Would highly recommend him. He treated me for a T12 compression fracture.

Dr Rowe and his entire staff is the best ever, I have a pretty serious surgery coming up next week February 10, 2023. I was kinda worried and scared but after meeting Dr. Rowe and the entire staff I am no longer scared or worried looking forward to it. Everything I have heard about him is positive, the first thing everyone says is he is the absolute best and he loves his patients. Thanks everyone for your professionalism and angel spirit, I am completely at ease....

Great staff! Dr. Rowe was very informative and compassionate. Explained things in a way I Could understand! I was impressed by the compassions and caring of al the staff in the office!
