I came to the physician asking for a test that he does not use in his practice. It is available only through immunology research channels. The doctor offered to introduce me to an immunologist, got up from his chair, left the exam room, and came back with the head of Immunology. She scheduled an appointment for me with the best immunologist in Houston. You can't beat that!! I love Dr. Rubin!! And he did all that because he Immediately grasped that my quality of life Is suffering. He treats the patient, not the lab report. I am so grateful for a doctor who is both intelligent and compassionate.
