I could not have received better treatment anywhere. As a physician I really appreciated his expert care and personal manner. I cannot say enough good about this ophthalmologist!

was extremely nervous about having cataract/refractive lens replacement surgery performed on my eye. After I gained enough courage to follow through, I contacted Dr. Schulze's office and scheduled my preoperative assessment appointment. The staff at Dr. Schulze's office was phenomenal throughout the entire process. Since my surgery occurred during the COVID crisis, they kept me informed and updated every couple of days of any time changes or date changes. Dr. Schulze has got to be the top in his field, hands down. He took so much time, on the front side of the surgery, making sure that I was comfortable with my decision and explained to me ever step that he would be taking during and after the surgery. The nurse that worked with me on the day of surgery was also remarkable. She was one of the nicest individuals I had ever met (actually there were two nurses) and both nurses made the experience so pleasant for me. The next morning following my surgery, I was absolutely amazed that I… could see clearly out of my eye. I have been in glasses or contacts since I was six years old. Being able to see this clearly out of my eye is like a miracle to me. I encourage everyone to use Dr. Schulze and his fine team and please do not have any worries as they will make sure everything goes perfect for you. They need an AWARD because I honestly do not believe that there could be a finer group anywhere in the United States. Dr. Schulze and his staff are wonderful! From the first time walking in the office , they made me feel very comfortable. He explained to me what was going on, answered all my questions and now I have a gift that I have not had since the 5th grade. MY EYE SIGHT!! He does excellent work!!! Lynn S.

Dr . Schulze performed both of my cataract surgery. He is a very knowledgeable doctor. He took the time to answer any and all my questions regarding my eyes. I have not been able to see this clearly the 5th grade. I was sent to him for the cataract on my left eye. When I arrived for my appt. , there were some issues with the eye. He reassured me that the problem with that eye needed another doctor’s help but when that was corrected he would be more than happy to fix the cataract. His staff was very friendly and made me feel at ease on the surgery day. I would recommend him to anyone that needs cataract surgery.

They charge 250 dollars just to be seen 500 to 900 just to do work I called urgent care and they charge 99 dollars to be seen 129 to do work I will never recommend schulze to anyone

I called in for a stye removal they charge 250 dollars ...just to look at your eye after that they said it be from 500 to 900 dollars to actually do something. I called urgent care in savannah they charge 99 dollars to look at it 100and some change to remove it never will I recommend schulze jr for any body

After seeing countless ophthalmologists regarding my red, tearing and inflamed eyes Dr. Schultz was the only one who came up with a logical plan. I'm finally back to looking normal again and can even put on make up! He is without a doubt the most methodical, brilliant and caring Dr. I've seen in the South. No need to look anywhere else as far as your eyes are concerned. His staff is also excellent. 10+ rating all around!

I had cataract surgery about a year ago and Yag laser surgery several weeks ago. Dr. Schulze and his staff are very professional and very caring. Dr. Schulze is very thorough in his approach to correcting vision problems. He spends time explaining details and answering any questions you might have. The procedures are efficient, effective and painless. His nurses always make sure you are comfortable which reduces any anxiety you may have before your procedure. It is a top notch office and surgery center. Anyone who has a vision difficulty should head straight to the Schulze Eye and Surgery center in Savannah. I travel an hour to see Dr. Richard Schulze and it is so worth it!

I knew nothing about Dr. Schulze except that my ophthalmologist in South Carolina recommended him. What a pleasant surprise! From beginning toend, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.The Surgery Center was clean, comfortable, and roomy. The staff was courteous, efficient, polite, and personable. An occasional bit of humor from them, helped to eliminate some of the tension I was feeling. I loved the efficiency of the entire staff. What teamwork! All preforming their specialty and then working so well with each other and the patients. They appeared to be so perfect and positive about their duties and whether it was administrative or medical, they were in sync with one another and Dr. Schulze.I especially appreciated Dr. Schulze’s packet of information about the surgery and the choices that were available to me. It was very patient friendly and written in a way that guided me, with Dr. Schulze’s help, to pick the procedure that best suited my needs.It’s been about a… month since my cataracts were removed. It feels so good to have my precious eyesight back. Thank you Dr. Schulze and staff.

Dr. Schulze and his wonderful team restored my vision through cataract surgery.
