Dr. Richard Philip Silton, MD

Dr. Silton received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then attended Albany Medical College in Albany, New York, where he received his M.D. degree. Dr. Silton completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Hospital in New York City, New York. Following three years as a member of the National Health Service Corps, Dr. Silton completed a fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Silton is board certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy-Clinical Immunology. He has practiced with the Carolina Asthma and Allergy Center since January, 1997. Dr. Silton is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.

Dr. Silton is married to Debbie Silton. Their daughter, Rachel, will be graduating from Vassar …College in Poughkeepsie, New York in the spring of 2009, and she hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in religious studies. Their son, Matthew, graduates high school in the spring of 2009 and will pursue his undergraduate degree at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.

Dr. Silton enjoys concerts, movies and theatre. lie is a history buff and his particular interest is U.S. history. He enjoys golf and travel in his spare time.
