Dr. Richard Harold Strawsburg, MD

I was seeing Dr. Strawsburg's partner for migraines. That first doctor helped me tremendously with my migraines. When that doctor left, I began seeing Dr. Strawsburg for my migraines and he does things very differently from his partner and my migraines became very frequent. The doctor who left had helped me go from severe migraine pain to mild pain. He also reduced my migraines to the point where I was getting only 1/3 as many migraines. When that doctor left and I began seeing Dr. Strawsburg, my migraines went back to being very severe because he changed my medication from one that worked great to one that doesn't work at all.

Evidently I rescheduled an appointment in February of 2022 for March of 2022. All while working for a very abusive employer that my other doctors can vouch for. I ended up a no show for the appt. in March 2022. My health deteriorated more and the attorney I was working for, had issues with me going to doctors appointments. Ultimately I left my job in September. Now, at the end of 2023, my cardiologist referred me to this Neurologist for my seizures especially after a situation in the ER and his office declined to see me over ONE no show. I have had several issues with this network but this doctor thinks he is elite and doesn’t put patient care first. I highly recommend NOT going to this Neurologist.

An absolutely horrifying experience!! Said, he didn't have time to look thru my records to find my sleep studies and my MSLT test and that he doubted my diagnosis of Narcolepsy! Said he wanted to repeat the test in his office. (I had my test done less than a year ago! AND the results were very definitive!) My insurance won't even cover a test this soon! He was arrogant and impatient. Kept cutting me off and telling me not to diagnose myself! I'VE had a thyroid problem for over 20 years! OMG, what an awful experience! STAY AWAY!

Awesome bedside manner, listens to patient, very practical and realistic person. Office environment is very peaceful. His staff are super sweet.

Misdiagnosed my daughter twenty years ago. Did not recognize dystonia or dystonic storm. Instead, he labeled it somatization. Cleveland Clinic properly diagnosed.

After researching neurologist for my mother, My sister and I chose Dr. Strawsburg. I believe this was one of the best choices we made for our mother. She was suffering from chronic pain, he ran a series of tests and immediately got her set up with physical therapy. We went to the office in Plymouth and his nurse was amazing, she explained everything to us and communicated with my mother explaining all the testing procedures and was accurate on the time frame and locations of the testing. With the following appointments his nurse remembered us by our first names along with talking to my mom about her dog, and her hobby of quilting. There is not a greater feeling to walk in to a Dr office and feel very comfortable as if you are walking into your own front door. Since then I have seen him for my own personal issues and have also told a co worker. Each time all three have never had an issue. Always the same smiling face to welcome us, and a knowledgable Dr to guide us . The only down… fall is that we do have to wait quite a while to be seen. He averages 20-30 behind appointment time all times I have been there.

When taking my 10 yr old to see this doctor for the first time he spoke with both of us with great respect. When he could not give an diagnosis on the spot he schedugled more testing and even sent us to another specialist to look at some alternative testing and treatment for some other problems we have going on with my son and school. I have seen his work with other paitents and would highly recommend him. Appts are hard to get if u are on a tight schedugle as he is the only peds nurologist in the area, but worth the wait!

Started seeing Dr. Strawsburg after having ACDF surgery in 2005 and having severe muscle spasms, severe pain and weakness throughout my body. After many doctors and many diagnosis (yes, I've been through it all without any luck in getting better!) he is the first doctor that seems to care and want to find out what is wrong with me.Long wait in between office appointments is the only down side I have experienced thus far with this doctor.
