Dr. Richard Jay Wexler, MD

This doctor truly goes the extra mile for his patients. I have had a few health issues recently. Doctor Wexler has been there for me, even on a weekend. He and his staff recently helped to get an insurance rejection reversed for a drug that another doctor (a specialist) prescribed, when I couldn't reach the other doctor. One word: 'Excellent'. It applies equally to his staff. Good communication and prompt attention to detail. His practice is concierge; I have recently done a comparison study, and concluded that he is worth it.

A lot of front office issues. 2 girls "working" the phones and files. you were lucky to reach one as they usually chose to let the phone roll to the answering machine. This can be witnessed if you are waiting for the doctor and the phone rings. Either the 2 girls are too busy chatting or filing their nails (must have felt this function came under the category of Filing). I swear when all I was seeking was an appt. or medical info. I never could get a live person. The true strength of this office was Susan. Capable competent compassionate and efficient. Call at lunch time and you might get Susan handling the phones for the desk girls. As far as Dr. Wexler I felt he formed his opinion early and pursued his theory on my condition via test and more test. This is one guy you do not want to admit you had ever had 3 beers - you were then a binge drinker and this could not be cured.

I cannot understand why any doctor would keep a front office staff person that is as rude as the one he has, as she represents and makes the first impression for this Doctor. I am sure he has lost many patients because of her rude behavior which is a shame. There are many people unemployed that would be more then happy to take her place, and could do a much better job, I am sure of that.

He's just the best doctor around - you may need to wait to get to him a little longer sometimes, he's very busy, but it's worth it. He always calls after your visit to make sure you are alright. Wonderful personality, he is friendly and genuinely caring! he's helped our family so many times for many, many years! there is no award as big as he really deserves. Now we moved out of state and it's very hard to find such a good doctor..

I had been searching for a doctor for awhile after my old doc passed away. I didn't think I would ever come close to finding someone as caring and knowledgeable as my previous doctor,but was happily surprised to find that same bedside manner in Dr. Wexler. He is caring, supportive and extremely knowledgable. He has recommended other doctors to treat things he is unable to and I have been comfortable with his selection of providers. I feel Dr. Wexler is really there for his patients. Wouldn't trade him for anything.

Dr Wexler is very caring and seems to be knowledgeable. His front office person is rude an unhelpful. If you can get beyond her you will be in good hands.

I have been seeing Doctor Wexler for over 10 years now and he is just the best doctor I have ever had. I remember the very first time seeing Dr. Wexler I had hurt my back and went to see him because my doctor was out of the office. That evening I was shocked to have recieved a call from Dr. Wexler asking me how I was doing and if the medication had helped. He and his staff or very professional, he is just the best. In 2002 I lost a kidney due to cancer and Dr. Wexler referred me to a friend of his and between the two of them they got me thru that hard time.... cancer free.
