Dr. Rick Matthew Waks, DO

Dr Waks has been my PC physician for almost 20 years. I love him & Julie but Not so much the rest of his staff. He saved my husbands life years ago by finding he had a heart problem. He & Julie are the most caring people I know. Most Dr.’s take no time with their patients but Dr. Waks doesn’t rush & listens to all our concerns. We will stay with him until he retires.

"I had been with Dr Waks and his Nurse Practitioner for over 10 years. During those 10 years I really liked everyone in the office. More recently, he made the decision to discharge both my wife and I based on false statements made to him by his medical assistant Tabitha. We have tried to resolve through the compliance department and their decision still stands. I would like to give a better review, however I feel discharging ANY patient during a pandemic is shameful. Would like to give 0 stars due to this but this forces a 1 star review. After their recent actions, I would never recommend anyone going to this office."

Best doctor and staff I have ever had!

Puts one totally at ease,kind , caring and willing to listen and always available with a great staff.

I am 62 years old and have never experienced such rudeness in a practice. His nurse Julie is argumentative and curt. I was thrown out of their practice and accused of being a drug seeker over a misunderstanding that he refused to see me to discuss it.I should not even be taken cold turkey off this drug because of its side effects. I requested an appointment to discuss and was given one along with my annual to discuss only to me called back told he will not discuss and basically thrown out of the practice by this Julie. Any Professional Doctor would have seen me to discuss and continued with my annual visit. I am from Chicago and this would never happen with a physician there. My Doctor would never haven done this to me there. Now I can’t get any of my other medications. Living here full time also makes a difference (which I do) that depends on when you will get an appointment in Florida. Beware if you need a good Doctor this is not the guy. Fly home if you need a good Doctor they are… not in Florida.

Doctor Waks and staff has always been an awesome place when things go side ways.

I know I am in the best possible care with Dr. Wax. He truly cares about the entire person. I have never felt rushed during my visits.

Dr.Waks is not only the greatest doctor I've ever seen but the most companionate about his patients.

Nobody likes going to the doctor. Dr. Waks absolutely makes the experience like going to visit an old friend. Thorough yet relaxed, engaging, and never makes you feel like you are taking up too much of his time. He discusses options for test results, pros and cons of taking more tests, and will listen to your concerns and address them in a down to earth manner.

Dr. Waks is easily my favorite health care provider--EVER. He is educated,non-judgemental and professional. He always takes time to thoroughly listen and to answer any questions. I found him to be caring,supportive and down to earth. I would recommend Dr. Waks to anyone that wants to participate in their health care process.
