Great Surgeon, great human being

Did surgery on my son and was so kind and thoughtful during the whole process, and most important is the surgery was a total success.

Dr Burks is an honest, straight-forward, and caring doctor. He saved me money and a hassle by recommending PT over surgery for my knee issues. Now, my knee feels great! The other doctors I spoke with told me I "must have surgery". It is refreshing to work with a doctor who actually cares about the best solution for me, and is not overzealous to perform surgery.

Dr. Burks performed rotator cuff tear surgery for me. He is a skilled, excellent surgeonn. But he lacks in bedside manner, and does not explain things too well for the common lay person. Perhaps he too bored or is tired of explaining someting after so many years, and he probably figures the patient should know what he is talking about. But the staff made up for this, and they answered all of my questions. i would rather have the surgery done correctly and perfectly, than have a flash and dash in experienced, poor suregoen do a marginal job. He is, a very skilled surgeon.
