Dr. Robert H Dunnebacke, MD

Best doctor I've ever had.

I've never had a problem with Dr. Dunnebacke, but the staff at that clinic is, hands-down, the most inefficient, rude, disrespectful, and inappropriate that this patient has ever witnessed. It's too bad for the doc, because he hears the complaints to him by the front desk, whether factual or not. I believe that it is important to note that this clinic is owned by Jackson Madison County General Hospital, not the doctors who work there. So if you have a complaint about the staff, it might be best to contact the hospital immediately.

My mom had been seeing Dr. Dunnebach for about a year. She developed a severe stomach bug. She is in an assisted living facility and laws require an ok from doctor for any prescription. The facility nurse called and asked for his nurse to call and give permission to administer Phenergran. This would have taken two minutes. After several calls with no return call from the nurse,she was told they had to handle their in house patients first. His nurse never did call and my mom passed out and ended up in the hospital from dehydration. I wouldn't take a rat to this doctor!

As I was waiting to see the doctor, I could hear conversation with every patient that he saw, while waiting I over heard him and his nurse speaking negatively about one of the patients out in the hall way, he spent less than five minutes in my room, and then prescribed a medication that none of the pharmacies carried, when I called the office to ask for something else, I finally got a call back at four p.m. The receptionists are rude and very unfriendly, I am currently looking for another doctor.

Very Satisfied with Dr. Dunnebacke and his nurse, as far as office staff, they are about the same as most places I have been in Jackson. No smiles, no greeting, might as well check in by computer. I'll never understand why doctors don't instruct their representatives (staff) how to greet and treat their customers
