Dr. Robert Benson Ferguson, MD

I cannot recommend Dr. Robert B. Ferguson enough! From the moment I contacted his office, I was met with kindness and professionalism from his staff. They were extremely nice during all my phone calls and even followed up with me after my procedure, which made me feel truly cared for. I was also assigned a nurse, who was available to answer any questions I had, which provided an extra layer of support throughout my experience. Dr. Ferguson is amazing! He took the time to break everything down and explain the procedure in a way that my children and I could easily understand. His support was invaluable in helping me get the surgery I needed. I came to him feeling very sick, and thanks to his expertise, I am now able to eat again without pain! I’m so grateful to my friend for referring me to him. His office has that warm, old-fashioned doctor vibe that I remember from my childhood, making the entire experience feel comforting and personal. Overall, I love Dr. Ferguson and his staff. It… was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Thank you, Dr. Ferguson, for everything you’ve done for me!

Dr. Ferguson - I hope you are reading these reviews! I thought you were awesome - very kind and took your time to talk with me about my medical history. I thought you were exactly the kind of doctor I was looking for as we were new to the area and needed to find a new PCP. However, many of your staff are rude and unprofessional. Your office manager, Pam, is absolutely awful. I have never spoken with someone so horrible in my entire life! We have been dealing with billing issues for close to two years now, all over the fact my husband never received his lab results as promised via phone (which appears to be an issue for some of your other patients as stated in other reviews). Neither of us have returned to your office for fear of dealing with your staff. After my call today with Pam, I can see we definitely made the right decision! New patients - BEWARE!!!!!

You may have a bit of wait when you go in for an appointment but it's worth it! Dr. Ferguson takes his time with each patient to discuss any new or ongoing health concerns and to make sure that questions are resolved before leaving. He was the GI on my case when I was admitted to the hospital and provided great care there as well as with continued follow-ups at his office. He resolved issues I've had for years.

Dishonest doctor. Do nothing good to patients but smiles

Watch out your bills- this may not be an honest clinic

Took mother who had quadruple bypass heart surgery in May 2017, today, Mon. 7/3/17. Got there a little early filled paperwork, no doctor. Was told he was still on rounds at hospital. Mom has a serious issue possible bowel obstruction. Waited, still no doctor. Dirty small old office in W. Bloomfield. Disappointed. Will not recommend will not go there. I don't care if you're the head of the hospital. If you make an appointment you should be there. Maybe it's time to retire.

If you have had trouble getting a diagnosis other places, then I would say Dr Ferguson may be able to help. He really listens to his patients and gets to the bottom of things. He is also a very nice man. He can run late, but I would wait for him knowing that he will work just as hard for you as he does for the person in front of you.
