Dr. Robert Mark Friedland

Can anyone tell me if this is true about Dr. Friedland.....he is deceased. I was a very long patient of his, and had an appt to see him on a Wed, and rec'd a call he was out. Could not get any info from office, emailed him....no reply. This was last year, and have been trying to find out about him, and saw a review below. Can not believe this!

Dr. Friedland abruptly left his practice and "retired" without giving any notice to his staff and patients. He actually had suddenly become very ill or had a stroke and then passed away shortly after. Although there are haters on this this site, he was a brilliant man and doctor. It is just too bad that he and his family didn't have the courage to tell his patients who cared deeply for him and who had seen him for many years the truth. Bye Dr. Bob!

Dr. Friend land delivered my two babies twenty years ago. To this day, I still have wonderful memories of that experience. Throughout the years, I had heard many horror stories about insensitive, cold doctors from women sharing their experiences - making me realize how truly Blessed I was to be a patient of Dr. Friedland!

What an unpleasant little man. When I consulted him I was in my forties, dealing with the aftermath of a most painful miscarriage and facing the very real prospect of childlessness with a terrifyingly rapidly ticking biological clock. He treated me with undiluted arrogance, complete lack of compassion or sensitivity, and expressed continuing surprised disapproval of the fact that I "seemed to be upset."When I had another miscarriage under his "care" (ha!) he didn't even bother to talk to me about it, but left his nurse to deal with me.After this, he made it crystal clear to me that he regarded me as nothing but a nuisance in his life of delivering healthy babies.Eventually, having stopped answering the telephone calls I made about various medical symptoms, he left it to his completely mortified receptionist to tell me that he had decided not to deal with me any more because I "asked too many questions." This was in the middle of a series of fertility treatments in which timing was of… the essence. My husband and I remain childless. AVOID THIS PERSON.

I really dont want to write much but suffice it to say that he really shouldnt be doing IVF. He has successfully treated many patients, but he also has some serious horror stories hiding in the background that i wish i would have known about before going to him. i thought it was a benefit that he does everything from infertility through childbirth, but as it turns out he shouldnt try to do it all. if you are having infertility issues, go see someone who just does that all day long -- not someone who also is a regular obgyn. he means well and cares deeply, but he has no business calling himself an RE as he really isnt one. PLEASE take care of yourself first, and do not go to him for RE help.

Dr. Bob is a nice guy, but I wish I had known about a few issues several of my friends had with him years ago. Not even sure if he should be practicing medicine anymore. Has he even had formal training to do IVF procedures? Know before you go!

I've seen dr Bob after my 3rd miscarriage. He was able to accurately diagnose the cause of my recurrent miscarriages and he did 3 IVFs with us until we were able to have a successful pregnancy. We now have a little boy! He was also wonderful during the pregnancy and at the delivery. I could not imagine a better choice either for an obgyn or for an RE.
