Dr. Robert Friedman, MD, FACS specializes in Neurosurgery. He received his bachelors degree from the University of New York at Stony Brook and then went on to receive his medical degree at the State University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in neurosurgery. Dr. Friedman is board certified in neurosurgery and has special interests in spinal disorders, including spinal stenosis, herniated disks, and tumors of the spine. He also has a special interest in neurostimulation for chronic pain. Dr. Friedman has over 30 years of experience in Neurosurgery. He is currently accepting new patients at our Stockbridge, and Newnan locations.

Dr. Friedman performed my SCS on 8/4. I had several questions prior to the surgery and scheduled an office visit. Instead of having me come in the office, he called and patiently answered all my questions (it was a long list) providing the assurance that I needed. The day of my surgery he made sure everything was in place for my aftercare, again giving me the assurance that I needed (I was so nervous). He met with my family after the surgery providing them with updates on how things went and the care needed for a smooth healing transition. He honestly made me feel like a person and not a case number. The staff is excellent and extremely personable. I had a great experience and would definitely recommend him to anyone seeking a neurosurgeon.

Dr Friedman performed surgery on me today. He was prompt, caring, informative and attentive, in which I had not experienced with a Surgeon EVER!! He always acknowledged my pain & commitment to eliminating my problem (surgery) Thank you. Also, the staff Maria, Lisa & other medical team ( sorry I forgot your names) provided excellent care. The Anestheiologists Reynolds & Polk.

Worst surgeon I have ever been to. I would not recommend to anyone. Not personable! After surgery, gave me the same pain med that I had been on ..did not help...waited 3 weeks to give stronger med. Informed me my surgery did not go well and could not have surgery again....after healing, went for 2nd opinion....was told I was able to have surgery again..with positive results.....beware !!

Dr. Friedman is a great doctor. He did (2) surgeries on my back and saved my life. I would recommend him to anyone that has back or neck problems or needing surgery. Bless you Dr. Friedman you are such a awesome doctor.

He is out for himself and really doesn't care as much as a Doctor should. He is looking for easy a easy dignois. Anybody that has major back problems needs to never look upon his face.

I had a cervical fusion in 2001, I still feel a lot better than before the surgery yes I had told friends and family if they need sprine surergy then Doctor Friedman is the man to see thank you Dr. Friedman and your friendly staff.
