It would be very interesting to be able to connect all the women patients who have been groomed and sexually or emotionally manipulated by this doctor. While he can do some good through drugs and feigning sincerity, he can do an equal amount of harm through predation if you are a female patient on his radar.

I went to the California medical board. The guy I was dealing with said that I wasn't the first to file a complaint against this guy. I will not refer to him as a "doctor" since all he wants to do is cause harm to ppl by prescribing meds that ppl dont need, giving out false diagnoses on vulnerable ppl. He would send me home with drug after drug! I was at 10 or close to 10 drugs a day by gerner. Had me thinking I had a condition that I never had. I lost 10 years of my life not including the years of recovery time after. He's a predator and needs to be locked up! Can't stand him! Anyone who refers him is insane!

Justice has finally been granted to this "doctor". He can no longer practice medicine. He already had his license suspended years ago for his unbelievable conduct..with his lesson learned ..and his superior attitude, he did the same exact outrageous conduct again!! This time his career is over, with humiliation,disgrace and shame (not sure he feels any emotion) he turned in his license to the board. You can read the current case online. I had filed a complaint with the medical board years ago regarding his conduct with me (after I had read the case against him where his license was revoked)..after waiting months.. they sent him a letter and he was able to continue practicing. It was extremely disappointing and frustrating..but..he finally got what he deserves .. this should of happened years ago. He played with people's minds by over prescribing drugs, peoples fragile mental state and emotions. It is reassuring to know that sometimes the system does work..and he won't be able… to harm any other patients...

Dr. Gerner is a con man and a sexual predator. He lost his license once for having sex with one of his patients during sessions. He was on probation for 7 years. As soon as he was off probation, he did it again. Now he has another complaint about this with the medical board and faces possible revocation of his license permanently. This is what this man deserves. Don't become one of his victims. He acts like he really cares, but I can assure you that his main interest is himself. Don't be fooled.

Dr. Gerner was one of my 1st psychiatrists. He taught me that there is no shame in mental illness. As I am hard to treat, Dr. Gerner patiently tried med after med. When I'd get discouraged, he'd tell me that there wad a med that would help me. He was right and we found it.

Brilliant man. I doubt anybody in the country knows more about drugs and disorders and the range of possibilities. Listens very well and picks up on subtleties that others might miss. Found many of his comments about me and my life to be harsh if not unconsciously cruel. Let's just say talk therapy may not be his calling. But definitely a huge improvement as a psychopharmacologist compared to the cookie-cutter approaches and poker table treatment options that are commonly practiced. Dr. Gerner knows his stuff.

Simply the best....I am a very difficult bi-polar to treat but Dr. Gerner has always managed to allow me to function at my highest level. I have been seeing him for more than 20 years and was initially referred to him by another psychiatrist ! He is known as the psychiatrist's psychiatrist by many in his field. Recently he provided me with a treatment plan that took me from the depth of depression to a state where for the first time in my life I actually feel wonderful (not hypo-manic or manic at all) but actually NORMAL. His treatment ideas are truly innovative and can yield success at a level that is rarely possible. Don't think twice if you have the opportunity to see him.

Dr. Gerner is a very bright, conscientious psychiatrist. He is competent, caring and always personally returns my calls. I reccomend him highly because he is simply the best! I am much more functional on a daily basis thanks to being under his care. He suggests the best treatments available and discusses these with you.
