Dr. Robert Erwin Helm

Meeting Dr Helm for the first time was a very positive experience. As I was preparing for heart surgery, I was apprehensive and tried my best to hide it. Dr Helm introduced himself as Bob Helm and immediately put my wife and me at ease. His explanation of what I faced, why, etc. was easy to follow and we departed with dramatically lower anxiety.

Serendippity was on my side when I somehow garnered an appointment with Dr. Helm. After a surprisingly horrible catheterization on a Thursday, I was scheduled with Dr. Helm on a Tuesday. Things went swimmingly well, I loved his nurse, Kim and his office staff. And him! He instilled such confidence in the outcome that I never looked back, only to the future in which he guaranteed me I would feel 100% better. Twelve days later, in phenomenal recovery, I am starting to feel the magic. Dr. Helm just might be the luckiest thing that ever happened to me!

Dr Helm is new to me however I feel very positive about our future patient/surgeon relationship. I am facing heart surgery in the near future and was referred to Dr Helm through my cardiologist. I had no problems making an appointment and the office staff was extremely helpful in helping me ensure all my tests and profile paperwork was forwarded. I only waited about five minutes in the waiting room and only a few minutes before I saw Dr Helm...believe me....that was a first! Dr Helm spent a lot of time with my husband and I explaining my heart condition...options for surgery....what to expect etc. Dr Helms passion for his specialty shows and he exudes confidence. My life will literally be in his hands and I have every reason to believe I'll be in very good hands and I'll get a positive outcome.

Dr. Helm put me at ease the night before my surgery with a comment that he knows what he is doing. His sef-assurance & confidence made me sure that I was going to go thru this with no problems. Thank you to the universe for delivering me into his capable hands.

Dr. Helm said all the right things in all the right ways prior to my unexpected open-heart surgery. He and his staff were kind and caring and especially accessible to my family. I can't say enough about him and my experience and recovery.

I was fortunate to have been treated by this exceptionally talented and hard working cardiac surgeon, and the outcome was far better than it might otherwise have been.

Dr. Helm saved my life! He was attentive and kind both before and after my heart surgery. He answered all my questions and put me at ease before my operation. Afterwards, he worked with my family to get me the best post-op care. Six months later, I feel like a million bucks!

It is nine months to the day since Dr. Helm saved my life (for the second time). He is caring, compassionate, accessible, and skilled. He took the time to meet with me in his office a few months post surgery to review everything that had happened with me which helped me gain a positive perspective. I would recommend him to anyone!!!
