Dr. Robert Jay Kaplan, DO

Dr Kaplan is by far the most genuine Dr. I have met since moving to Florida. He is very compassionate and he thoughtful. I was sent to Dr’s that he has recommended me to. Dr. Kaplan had been taking care of my parents for 11+ years and suddenly left without a trace. There was nothing but a note on the door of their new office with a phone number to an employee who quit before he disappeared. I tried contacting him through the phone number the employee gave my father and he finally answered, but then ignored my phone calls after when he told me to call back later. My father has a very extensive medical record he needs to move on to another PCP and Dr. Kaplan has failed in his duties to provide these records.

Had medicine delivered to office , never called saying it was there , office boxed up no one from office there , lost medicine , horrible office staff

We absolutely love Doc Kaplan. His office staff sucks. I have lost count of times they were supposed to send needed prescriptions to the pharmacy to be filled and don't do it. It might take 2-3 phone calls to get it done. We are as a result of this frustration going to change Drs and this is sad because we really really like the Dr.

I HAVE HAD MORE PROBLEMS WITH THE OFFICE STAFF WHEN ASKING FOR REFERRALS. I HAVE BEEN MADE TO FEEL LIKE A STALKER AND THEY ARE ALWAYS RUDE. BARBARA AND SUZZANE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. PEOPLE ARE DESPARATE FOR HELP AND THEY RESPOND AS IF YOU ARE PUTTING THEM OUT.PROTOCOL FOR OBTAINING A REFERRAL FOR A SPECIALIST IS 24-72 HRS. HA! THEY ARE AN INEPT STAFF AND THEIR MAMA SHOULD HAVE TAUGHT THEM BETTER MANNERS.

Susan his wife and Nurse Barbara are great too. I have been their patient for 15 years.

My cardiololist needed a referral and when I called the office I was treated rudely by a person named Barbara. My cardio's office staff was also treated badly. This woman told them that she was busy. Dr. Kaplan is good but can also be short at times. Looking for another dr. In my network.

It is easy to get an appointment. I am sometimes not impressed with office staff but Dr Kaplan is a really great guy who is very knowledgeable. He doesn't make you feel like you are being rushed through on an assembly line and always is ready to answer questions. He takes his time and also has a great sense of humor and great bedside manor. My husband and I have been seeing him for 4 yrs now and feel very confident in how we are treated. I am very fussy when it comes to Drs because I am not trusting. I trust him very much. He truly cares about his patients.

HE IS THE BEST

This was the most horrible experience at a "professional" office I've had. The person at the front desk was curt, and unprofessional. I went to get a check up, to see if I'm in good health to run a half marathon in 4 months, and to ask questions about some anxiety issues i've been having. I have also been having minor tenderness issues with my elbow which seemed to become the focal point of the exam. When I told him I was preparing for a marathon, he told me not to go to the gym and run, because of my elbow. I have a bruised elbow. I payed 20 dollars for a blood pressure exam, for them to listen to my heart, and for them to tell me to take advil for my elbow, and not work out until it feels better. Then they told they wanted to do blood work, and told me "Have a nice day! You're all set!" I asked.. "Uhm.. the blood work?", and was given a piece of paper with directions to Quest Diagnostics for the blood work. When I got to Quest, they told me that they can't help me, because they don't… cover my insurance, and I would need to go to Labcorp. When calling back the doctors office, i was hung up on twice, while asking questions, and yelled at when asked why i was sent someplace that my insurance doesn't cover. They told me I should have done better work in looking for a doctor, and when asked for my money back because they didn't provide a service in what i went there for to begin with, they said No, and hung up. Needless to say, I still have anxiety, and still need to find another doctor, while wasting my day off of work.
