Dr. Robert Keating, MD

We saw Dr. Keating twice. The first time was a little more pleasant and laid back. By the second appointment he seemed very agitated as if he had better places to be. Came in, sat down, and basically repeated what his P.A. said. When I asked him about new things found on the MRI he looked completely clueless so I read the report to him and he said “well it wasn’t anything that jumped out at me so call an ENT”. At one point he even made the comment that their were children in the emergency room OR that actually needed him. If we didn’t need him we wouldn’t have been there. No advice, no referrals to help us figure out the issues, absolute waste of time.

I was impressed the first visit . Second visit I felt like we were blown off and he was worried about being late else where in the hospital. He comes off as a cookie cutter doc. His secretary is by far the most unprofessional person I've ever met. I'm glad others were able to have dr keatings help

I have never had a negative experience with DR. Keating my daughter has been seeing him on a regular basis since she was 8 months old and she is going to be five this spring. He never recommended surgery until it was absolutely necessary. When she developed complications as of the surgery he and his staff worked feverishly to find the problem and got her feeling better. He always cares about her and her well being and never makes us feel like we are just another patient. He is very knowledgable in his field and can trlu be considered an expert. The only issue I have is that his staff(front desk) is not always the best to deal with especially when you talk to them on the phone. DR Keating and her peditrican are the only reason we have not moved out of state.

I trust Dr. Keating implicitly. He saved our daughter after she was misdiagnosed. He was always more than professional. He cares about his patients and you never feel like he is rushing you out of the office. He takes his time with your questions and his patients. We love Dr. Keating.

Dr. Keating is an awesome doctor he has been treating my daughter for a little over 2 years now and he never rushed us into surgery and always gave us alternatives. He is extremely proffessional and very intelegent. I would not trust the care of my daughter in any one elses hands. The resident's that are part of his team are just as great they made me and my daughter feel at ease with her suregery and more importantly confident that they knew what they were doing. If you need a neurosurgeon and you are in the DC MD or VA area I highly reccomend Dr. Keating.
