Dr Robert Gawley Kerr

Dr Kerr and his staff are outstanding. I brought a family member and previous members and friends to him and always the best resources and analysis.

Dr Kerr seems like a great guy, compassionate, and very personable. His staff on the other hand is completely incompetent, and uncaring. I was scheduled to have lower back surgery by Dr Kerr in late January of this year. I was looking forward to being finally out of pain. I went for pre surgical testing, received medical clearance from my primary care Dr., all good to go. 2 days before the scheduled surgery I received a letter from my health insurance company stating that the surgery would not be covered due to the fact that Dr. Kerr's staff neglected to send my insurance company information that they requested weeks before the surgery. Surgery cancelled! Dr. Kerr's staff seemed unfazed when I called them and said they sent the required info. Obviously someone is not being truthful. Dr. Kerr's staff said that they would submit an appeal to my insurance company, they told me that it might take up to two months to get a decision. Its now August, and never heard a word back from Dr… Kerr's staff or my insurance co. leading me to believe that his staff did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation. Still in pain, but now have an appointment with a new surgeon.

What a self serving arrogant JERK. Blamed me for not having surgery by him 5 years ago. At the time he gave me a brace and said to see how it goes. Condescending and nasty.

Dr Kerr was warm,informative and took the time to explain my many issues...He had xrays taken and was to get back to me with results and suggestions on treatment,but never heard..It is new 2 months,no response....I had results sent to primary care doctor,but was told,Dr Kerr would have to explain them to me.. I called and waiting to hear from his nurse..Please find resolutions to this issue....I would say it is not the abilities of Dr Kerr,but the functions of the office...w

Dr. Kerr spent a lot of time going over the MRI and explaining every detail of my surgery in language I could understand. I have a lot of confidence in Dr. Kerr.

There are neurosurgeons, who are just that - surgeons, and there are neurosurgeons, who are doctors first. Dr.Kerr belongs to the latter, unfortunately, almost non-existent category. He is a doctor, who sees and treats the whole patient, not an isolated abnormality on an MRI picture. Dr.Kerr followed my child for several years for chiari, and we credit him with 6 years (and counting) of the child's happy, pain-free, hospital-free life. Dr.Kerr realizes the dangers of surgery and will not recommend it, unless there are serious symptoms impacting the patient's quality of life. It is too bad that he has stopped working with pediatric patients. A rare,rare doctor. Highly recommend.

Dr Kerr was a godsend. He saved my life

I meet Dr Kerr for the first time a few weeks ago and his staff and I was so impressed with his caring nature and bedside manor I knew he was the Doctor for me. Surgery was just done om May 7th which was L5 S 1 Fusion and I sit here on day three feeling pretty good after major surgery. The surgery was done through the Stomach and I cant believe how good I feel already. I understand all surgeries are different for every one but if you need this done this is the Doctor for you. He will put you at ease and make you feel so comfortable not all Doctors can do this for you. I cant say enough good words about Dr Kerr just that I'm so glad I used him for this surgery and so should you if one is needed.

I met Dr. Kerr in the ER 6 weeks ago after my son had his first seizure. Dr. Kerr diagnosed my son as having a Cavernous Malformation and recommended surgery. Brain surgery on my son! I was shocked and scared! I did alot of research and praying! I am now completely comfortable and confident with my choice. My son is doing great!This was the scariest decision I've ever faced. Regarding Dr. Kerr, I wouldn't change a thing. Highly recommend!
