Dr. Robert J Krenzer, MD

Dr. Krenzer saved my life. I survived a life crippling brain injury in 2004. Without his care, referrals and support, I doubt I would be thriving today. In fact, I still followed up with him after moving from the area, driving nine hours each way. When someone broadsided my vehicle over ten years later sustaining yet another brain injury, my husband immediately drove me the eighteen hour round trip, including an overnight stay as he knew the level of faith I had in Dr. Krenzer and any care or recommendations he would have for me would be essential to helping me heal. Dr. Krenzer’s bedside manner may not be every ones cup of tea, yet, no other neurologist instilled so much hope in me. Patients just looking for pain meds or flakes wanting their hand held may not appreciate his wit or direct manner. Yet, I will always be grateful for all the efforts Dr. Krenzer made to help me rebuild a life worth living, twice. I hope this comment makes its way to Dr. Krenzer so he can read what… a profound impact he has made on at least one patient’s life.

I was admitted to Palm Bay Hospital for what turned out to be transient global amnesia. Krenzer was the on staff neurologist who came to see me the next morning. I was trying to catch some sleep because I only got 3 hrs of sleep—who can sleep in a hospital! He comes in, “why aren’t there any lights on?” Nurse to turn light on behind my bed. “No, we don’t need a spotlight.” He sits in a chair and asks me why I’m there. But apparently I wasn’t speaking loud enough so he curtly says “What. I can’t hear you.” I should have just turned my back on him at that point. But I continued to tell him what I knew (which wasn’t much due to amnesia) and what my husband had told me. So he told me I had an episode of TGA but no explanation of what it was. Concerned that it might be related to dementia, he blurted out a description of dementia that he memorized from a medical book. So no connection? He blurted it again. Ordered an MRI (which he made some stupid joke about) and carotid artery ultrasound… and left leaving me to have to google TGA! He also told me he was retired but the hospital is making him work 10 days a month. Please, Dr Krenzer for everyones sake, retire!!!

I saw Dr. Krenzer for about a year. I was new to the area and he was a referral. I never felt that he listened to me and he made inappropriate comments about my Dr's up North. We didn't work out. When I got my medical records from my time with him, I was appalled to see that he had never sent for any of my medical records from "up North" and his listening skills were not up to par either as he repeatedly referred to me as being from New Hampshire when I am in fact from Maine. His receptionist was just fabulous.

This doctor is very rude. His bedside manners are horrible. I guess he feels that he can just make jokes about his patients however, everyone is not in the mood for his nonsense. If I wanted a comedian, I would have went to a comedy club not a neurologist. I suffered a TIA and was in the hospital. He was the on call neurologist and he comes in making jokes about my hairstyle. I wear the latest spike trends clearly he knows nothing about! Stop with the jokes and do what the patients are paying you to do!!!

Horrible Doctor his assumptions are more important that someone’s life. Without doing any test he orders to do surgical procedures with makes normal people sick and then the results— nothing freaken happened. I wondered why they were so slow and got such less patient. No wonder why!! Then his medical assistant Crystal will be like dr krenzer is very humorous don’t take his words otherwise. People take him wrong most of the time. No wonder why people take him wrong cause he is doing wrong. Such a bad doctor. I really wish I didn’t go to him ever. Now I am stuck at home with not being able to work. Arghhhh!!!!

Personally I found his sense of humor to be refreshing. Most neurologists I've had in the past have been "dead as a doornail"...so to speak. He's pretty straightforward, no b.s. I don't need someone to hold my hand, I need someone who can help me manage the seizures. So far so good.

Dr. Krenzer is patient, attentive, thorough, compassionate, well humored and understanding. He successfully treated a condition I have lived with for over a decade.

Horrible bedside manners, rude

Dr. Krenzer was called for a consulate while I was an inpatient . He would not listen and did not do a thorough exam. He ordered physical therapy and 3 therapists , after evaluating me, stated I did not meet the criteria for his diagnosis. He insisted on his diagnoses. Suffering for 2 years longer, I was finally tested and DID NOT have the condition he diagnosed He is arrogant and refuses to even consider any other possibilities. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME..

He was the most bizarre doctor I have seen. I found him rude, didn't really listen to my symptoms or do much of an exam. Would NOT recommend
