Dr. Robert James Lacava, MD

I am a young graduate student and Dr.LaCava gave me my life back. I moved into an apartment that had black mold and it made me so sick because of my Lyme Disease. I received IPT treatment from his office and it was worth every penny. I am able to work again and live my life. No other doctor could figure out what was wrong with me, but he did. His staff is so kind and accommodating.

All of his previous poor reviews have been deleted! I recall reading them 6 years ago. Dr. LaCava has no personal interactive skills. I had Urine and Blood test run to the tune of $1400, with results to be given in 7-10 days. after a month, with still no results I emailed the office and was told they were still not ready. I told them to cancel them as no longer of use. They did not and at the 3 month after the appointment I received an email with only the blood test results and low and behold like every other review that was posted I have Lyme Disease. Never did receive the refund.

Staff Not only mishandeled a $3000 blood draw so it couldn’t be processed, and took four jabs to get blood, but continually mishandled paperwork so initial forms were never recieved (‘tho mailed’), and when alerted they didn’t even email, but when I asked 3 times for other test results results to be mailed to me they agreed but never provided their release form while I was on site for me to be sent them. The Doctor ascertained that I don’t know Spanish, said I should learn it and he then proceeded to speak to me in Spanish, and insisted I could see no other medics even tho I need daily radiation and chemo and live >3 hours away.

It has. By far been the best place I've been. Really like the staff as well!!!

Very good for the most part. The staff is wonderful and seem very good at what they do! They have eased a lot of my anxiety while going through the various treatments and actually make it a pleasant experience.

Took my daughter to see Dr. LaCava after the hospital had checked out every other reason why she was having horrible abdominal pain. ER told her she was "full of poop" but provided no relief other than an enema which did nothing. Dr. LaCava gave her a vitamin C infusion which worked almost immediately.

I was really pleased with the care that Dr. LaCava and the staff provided to both myself and my daughter. I had been to other doctors but they were not helpful. Dr. LaCava figured out. Thank you!!!

Dr. Lacava helped me with a very difficult illness. He was able to turn me around when no other doctors gave me a chance, even the most "highly regarded" specialists". When I sought out Dr. Lacava I had nearly given up hope. I am very grateful to Dr. Lacava and his staff for their caring manner and superior expertise in restoring health.

I've been a patient of Dr. LaCava for about a year and a half. Doctors like him are hard to find. He seeks to find the cause and treat that as opposed to treating symptoms. He successfully treated me and the at least 6 others I have referred to him. He's the first doctor who who actually found out WHY we were all sick and then treated THAT. I am no longer in pain and I can't say enough about Dr. Lacava.

I had a new patient consult with Dr. Lacava within the past two weeks. He does not take health insurance and going to his office was very expensive. His wife helped me out and did not tell the cost of any of the test. They just performed the tests on me and gave me a bill to pay. I am not sure how it all happened. I walked out paying about 1400.00, which I could not afford. I am not even sure what they tested. I understand it is my health and that is all good. I just wanted more information. Now after researching the doctor more I probably would have made a different choice. The doctor is smart and friendly but his wife made me feel rushed and not informed.
