Dr. Robert Lorenz

Perfection: Diagnosis, surgery, aftercare, almost invisible scar, thorough, kind and engaging. Also seriously hot. Saved my life.

If it weren't for Dr. Lorenz, I may not be here today. Instead of just taking out the cancer he saw, he probed and made sure ALL of my cancer was totally removed from my throat / larynx. Because of him, I believe I would not have survived. Also, I have joined several laryngectomee groups and, I have to say, that my operation left me far better off than 99% of the other laryngectomees. I'm convinced it is because Dr. Lorenz cared enough to make SURE my cancer was taken care of, all of my follow ups were thorough, and my "scars" weren't overwhelming. Thank you so much, Dr. Lorenz. Not only did you save my life, but you made my situation easier to deal with due to your care. Thank you doesn't seem enough!

Amazing! Dr. Lorenz was just the best. He listens to everything you have to say. All of your concerns and questions will be answered and with respect and thoughtfulness. He takes his time and I didn't feel rushed out of the office. I am 43 and had a Zenkers diverticulum. Never had an operation before so I was a wreck. He talked me thru the entire thing. The entire staff was amazing as well. I am very lucky to have had him as my Dr. If you have any doubt....don't. I think you would agree after meeting him. I waited to give this review till after I was all healed up and people can hardly even tell that know I had surgery. He was very specific also about letting me know he would do his best to make sure there was hardly a scar something I had no concern over at the time, I just wanted the Zenkers gone, but I now am happy HE was because he did a great job and can appreciate the effort more. Much thanks to him and the entire staff at the Cleveland Clinic.

Brilliant surgeon, yet humble and compassionate. Saved my life!!!

Dr. Lorenz was very thorough. He was able to diagnose my carotid body tumor in about 10 minutes when I had been trying to get a diagnosis for about 5 years. Every other doctor just told me that it was a swollen lymph node and it was even missed on about 5 MRI's. I brought one of the last MRI's and he was able to see it plainly. I wish he could treat every other health problem I have. He was also one of the nicest, most down to earth Doctors I've seen in my life and I've seen a LOT of Doctors. I would highly recommend him without hesitation.

I drove the 80 miles to Cleveland because of their reputation for excellence. I was not disappointed. Dr Lorenz did not miss a single detail of my description of my throat issues and, when necessary prodded me for more information. He checked my throat thoroughly and within minutes he was explaining what it was I was experiencing and why. He set me at ease because of his confidence and his level of knowledge. I would recommend Dr Lorenz to anyone with ear,nose or throat issues. I noted in my review that my wait time was 40 minutes. I should have mentioned that 15-20 minutes of that wait was spent discussing my case with a Resident who took copius notes for Dr Lorenz to review before he saw me. I had no problem whatsoever with the wait time.
