Dr. Robert Peter Muckle, MD

Dr. Muckle is great. His front office staff is rude and very unprofessional also unkind. His MA and surgery scheduler, Lilly is unresponsive and disorganized. She does not call in prescriptions on time or even at all. Leaving patients in pain for days even weeks. She does not return phone calls in a timely manner. I have waited over a month without a return call concerning medication. It beyond frustrating. Dr. Muckle is really kind and a great physician, but I would not recommend him to anyone due to his staff. His expertise is not worth the frustration and pain of being completely ignored by his support staff.

Dr. Muckle is also the Mayor of Louisville, Co and this makes it nearly impossible to schedule an appointment. He couldn't even schedule a post-op appointment after my surgery and had to go to a DIFFERENTdoctor. Six weeks has passed and surgery site is still infected and painful. Rude and incompetent office staff makes this a thoroughly unpleasant doctors office.

This doctor spent about ten minutes total with me, in spite of my inner ear disorder diagnosed by an out of state doctor. Awhile later my family physician tried to get notes of this visit sent or faxed to him. Dr. Muckle's office was totally unresponsive. After three phone calls he gave up.

Dr. Muckle is the only doctor who spent time researching my condition. Yes, he actually researched my condition outside of my appointment time and came up with the proper diagnosis and best treatment for me. He is also very easy to talk with and listens very well.

I have been a patient of Dr. Muckle for over 5 years. He implanted cochlear implants in both ears with sterling results and has since treated my vertigo problem. While he may not be as timely in his appointments as other physicians, I believe it is because he doesn't rush his patients and ensures all their questions are answered to everyone's satisfaction. That hasn't been the case with other physicians I've seen (like answering a question as they open the door to leave!) I know Dr. Muckle is attending to his other patients concerns as throughtly as he has treated mine. For this I will tolerate the wait time. His staff has always treated me with respect and compassion. And the audiologists in the office are top notch in dealing with the various cochlear implants. They stay on top of all the rapid advances that are being made in the technology.

This guy is everybody's worst nightmare. My kid hated him, I hated him....even my sainted wife hated him. He was childishly arrogant, was always significantly late, the hospital staff thought he was a joke and wasn't subtle about letting us know their feelings. We changed doc's and could not be happier.

If you have tinnitus, he is excellent providing treatment. He spends the time you need in order to assist you in creating a treatment plan that will best deal with your ear problem. He is absolutely excellent. I highly recommend him.
