Dr. Robert V Newman, MD

Dr. Newman has seen me through IUD complications, pregnancy and childbirth, a miscarriage, and routine gynecological exams. Other reviews indicate his sense of humor isn’t for everyone, but as with others reviewers, it has always put me at ease. He has never been anything but professional, competent, and reliable as my OBGYN for going on 10 years. When something is wrong, he is attentive, concerned, and thorough, and he has always taken the time to make sure my questions are answered.

Dr. Newman is the absolute best. He has a great personality, sense of humor, and a ton of experience so you know you’re in good hands. Even though he has decades of experience, he’s not old school if that makes sense, for example, no unnecessary cervical checks, doesn’t push to induce, etc. I trust him implicitly.

Dr Newman has delivered my first son and was the second ob gynecologist in Arizona that I have been under care with. He is very fast efficient and gentle and professional. As a woman most prefer woman doctors but if you want the most gentle and non stressful or anxiety ridden appointments I’d recommend him fully .. I have continued care and have had a Leep procedure and it was so fast no anesthesia and I honestly didn’t feel it . His experience and his attitude is very helpful he doesn’t say much does not make you feel uncomfortable at all and is all work no play . *side not he always has a woman nurse with him as well in case you are not comfortable with a male gyno .

Dr. Newman is the absolute best obstetrician/gynecologist, bar none. He is professional, friendly, and always puts the patient at ease. He takes the time to get to know his patients and asks relevant questions. His office is easy to work with and there is very little wait time with a scheduled appointment. Paperwork is done in advance which also speeds up the appointment time. Highly recommend Dr. Newman.

Everything was wonderful, staff was very courteous and friendly, I have been going to Dr. Newman for a very long time now and would recommend him to everyone! He is just so friendly and I trust him explicitly!

I have been a patient of Dr. Newman’s for 15 years. He has delivered all 3 of my children and I continue to see him. His bedside manner is second to none. While the office staff have changed over the years, all have been quick, professional and kind.

If you want a first class experience in Scottsdale Arizona, Dr. Newman is the Physician for you. From the time you walk in the facility, front desk representatives will always welcome you with a smile. The staff is amazing, the facility is clean. You are in and out with no time to waste. Dr. Newman specializes in high risk pregnancies and I trust him and any opinion he gives. He is a serious person, but has a humorous side that makes each visit worth it. Ending your appointment with the check out representatives, it feels wonderful when they remember who you are by name. I recommend Dr. Newman for your medical needs.

I’ve had two appointment’s at this office Yesterday was my first time seeing Dr. Newman I’m pregnant with my 5th and my youngest is 12 so it’s been a while for me and I am so thankful to have found this Dr. He was professional, kind and took time to speak with me and it put me at ease after only one visit. His assistant was wonderful and the staff was also very friendly. I am excited to continue this pregnancy with this doctor.

Love Dr. Newman! He delivered my first son and now with my second here soon. Very funny man. Also what a fantastic team of staff that they have working in this office, from front desk, to medical assistant, ultrasound tech and check out clerk. 5 stars all around.

Dr. Newman displayed unprofessional and disrespectful behavior during the time leading up to my delivery. While waiting in the office to be induced, I was crying and upset. He thought that would be the ideal time to ask me if he had ever told me why he became an Ob. I replied no, hoping he would have something inspiring or sweet to say. Not so, he said instead “I had two sisters who were really mean to me growing up and this is my way of getting back at women”. After a failed overnight induction with the on call Ob, Dr. Newman arrived at the hospital first thing in the morning and said we should “throw in the towel” and proceed with a c section. Again with me in tears and fearful after signing the paperwork to proceed, he asked me “do you know what I do to women who have me come in first thing in the morning to perform surgery?” When I responded “no, what?” he said “I give them the vertical incision instead of horizontal one. Your pole dancing days are over”. I am in fact a medical… professional not a stripper. It is appalling that he speaks to a patient in the manner. I would NEVER even fathom displaying the atrocious bedside manner he did. These were obviously jokes but your bedside manner when your patient is distressed is atrocious. Do better. Advice to future patients, look elsewhere, he’s not the Ob you want.
