Dr. Robert Thomas Nixon, MD

Does not listen. Will take away treatments almost like a punishment if you ask any questions. Tries to pass off findings by other qualified medical workers as "normal" or "not connected". Completely missed a second area of injury for two and a half months. Which means it was left untreated for two and a half months. Will insult your intelligence by saying "you can look that word up later". I know exactly what that word with itus at the end means, thanks. It's not hard. Horrible doctor. Will make your condition worse and will just keep having you come back to see him so he can get more money. I am in the most excruciating pain in my life and he cannot be bothered to stay in the room for more than 3 minutes. Or even try to figure out what the issue is or work together with other medical professionals.

I’ve been seeing dr nixon for my knee for over 10 years. He has helped me Recover from traumatic soccer injuries. Very grateful for all of his help and he has always been available to help when I need it. Thank you!

Dr Nixon is a very competent orthopedic surgeon. I sustained a ripped superior labrum from being hit by a semi, and due to his fine work, my left shoulder has no more pain, and works like new. Long recovery, but that comes with the territory… I have many other unrelated issues/injuries that are permanent in nature, but the relief I’ve gotten from his work is a godsend… Any less pain in my world is a welcomed outcome! If you need a good ortho, ignore the “negative” reviews… I am nothing but confident and thankful in Dr. Nixon’s abilities as a surgeon. I’m most certain those reviewers leave bad reviews everywhere, as they seem difficult and unhappy in how they even present themselves…

I came in for foot pain so bad I could’t walk. He looked at and moved my foot and said he saw nothing wrong. I suffered for 6 weeks with no improvement before I got an MRI and found out it was broken. I got tendonitis in my other foot and my hands cramped so bad I couldn’t do anything. He didn’t care. A coworker gave me crutches that helped, but not this guy. After 6 more weeks he pronounced me cured with no xray, no treatment besides immobilization and pt, nothing. But he had me coming in every two weeks to collect my money.

Always have to wait in the waiting room then again in the exam room for the doctor. We have seen him twice and both times he just sits there and says I do not know what to do for your daughter. He says anything he would recommend probably would not help the pain. We left feeling helpless. When we checked out the front desk said he would like to see her again in two weeks...for what $$$$$. This guy does not care about his patients at all and it is really sad.

Went to him for melorheostosis in my right femur. When I came to the appointment he asked me what was wrong and when I told him he decided to correct me, and interrupt me. He clearly didn’t review any data on my disease he was absolutely clueless. He claimed that their was no reason my leg was swollen to the size of a huge ballon. He continued to argue with me that I had a tumor and refused to listen to me when I tried explaining what my disease was. This guy is rude and arrogant, and clearly gives 0 f***s about anything other than his pay check. Highly recommend going LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE.

I was not pleased at all nor was my son. He was rude with terrible bedside manner. His staff was just as rude. He acted as if he was doing you the favor by showing up. I sat in the waiting room 20+ mins after my appointment; I showed up 15 mins early too. then in the room we waited another 20 for him. I refuse to go back to even allow him to read my son's MRI scans. I've always trusted MCO and the physicians but with Northwestern taking over the good doctors that care are all leaving & this is what we will be left with. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR if you want even adequate care at most. he couldn't even give that.

Dr. Nixon says and does the same. He followed through my recovery. There are no surprises. I followed his directions and healed.

Dr. Nixon is the greatest. I have seen him on two different occasions and both have been Five Star.
