I had a terrible experience with Dr. Sataloff. Believe the other reviewers when they tell you he is egotistical, doesn't have time for questions, and quick to diagnose patients with acid reflux. He ordered so many tests for me, put me on a very restrictive diet, then was very impatient when I wanted to know why. Because of that, he kicked me out of the practice! I saw a new doctor for a second opinion who told me that Dr. Sataloff was "over the top." I am being kind in this review. He was insulting, unprofessional, and ineffective.

I may update this review after I've seen the doctor but I've been sitting in the waiting room for over 2 hours. My appointment was at 9:00 am so they clearly double and triple book their appointments. The front staff is brusque and unapologetic about the wait time. Even though I had to go through a 45 minute intake over the phone, I still had to fill out pages and pages of paperwork when I arrived here. And then, a 2+ hour wait. The office has no wifi and only one outlet so you can sit here an twiddle your thumbs while you wait for hours and hours. I do not understand where this doctor gets off treating patients like this.

Horrible bedside manner, cruel, and unempathetic. Orders many tests and does not explain anything to you. Belittles his patients and acts awfully to everyone in his sight. Do not recommend unless you want to be tortured.

Dr. Sataloff took care of my mother, and she was happy to have her hearing repaired ( after years of issues) and also having him check her voice, as she is a singer. He is personable and engaging with patients, and very thorough. We are very happy with the experience and if needed have no qualms about ever going back.

This place is absolutely awful. While most of the staff are nice (and very apologetic), Dr. Sataloff is extremely rude. My visit was an absolute nightmare and after being there for several hours, we just walked out of the appointment. There is no bedside manner present. Dr. Sataloff's behavior honestly is abusive. I was also misdiagnosed and told I would need weekly visits to his office and multiple medical procedures. I went to a different doctor and my vocal issue ended up being a very simple fix. Do yourself a favor. Go somewhere else!

This whole operation is one of the most dysfunctional things I've ever witnessed. Dr Sataloff gathers wonderful people around him to compensate for his abusive behavior. His staff, nurses, and voice therapist, who are excellent at what they do, have all apologized profusely for his unethical behavior. Dr Sataloff has touched me and performed procedures on me without my consent. He has given me outdated, poor medical advice that could have made me more sick than when I arrived in his office had I chosen to follow his recommendations.

I was curious about symptoms i've had right before i get my period, that make it harder for me to sing. At this point I'm used to it. Sometimes i'm fine, sometimes it's annoying. While researching this i found an AMAZING Article that Dr. Robert T Sataloff wrote. I read it thoroughly, and wrote some notes down. And he pretty much hit the nail on the head. It was informative & preventative for anyone (Male & Female) Who wants to know how to preserve their voice as they age or go through hormonal changes. He covers so much ground. Although i've never seen him, and live in Pittsburgh. If i ever need to see a laryngologist - i may go to him, because i think he knows more about the Vocal Cords than most others. Touché

Yes, I had to wait, but found it well worth it to wait for the best doctor. Very thankful and grateful to Dr. Sataloff.

If you're looking for a doctor with the ego of Narcissus, and the bedside manner of Dr. House with none of the talent, Sataloff's your guy. Otherwise, I suggest you go somewhere - literally anywhere - else. Dr. Sataloff is arrogant, patronizing, and frankly cruel. His staff spends most of their time apologizing on his behalf. He seems to care much more about the celebrity headshots on his wall than he does about his actual patients.
