Dr. Robert Terrance Scott, PhD

This therapist was reported to the board of psychology for breaking HIPAA laws for sharing first and last names of actual patients with a new patient. He also attempted to diagnose the new patient with a physical illness (migraines) when he’s not a medical doctor. When confronted about the breach of confidentiality of patient names he fired the new patient saying “they weren’t a good fit”. Beware of this therapist. He wants to be part of a first responders club and his desire to do that is put before patient mental health.

Excellent doctor, kind and caring. I will never be ok, but through his excellent care and knowledge of coping techniques, he has helped me make peace with my trauma. I believe he has helped me find the most current information and care available. He really listened to my problems and complaints and he has made wise and practical recommendations. Sadly, as a trauma survivor and someone referred by a mutual colleague - I am mortified there are 'therapists' out there like Dr. Scott. He failed to return my call within a week... when he finally did so, late at night, he hadn't even realized it had been a WEEK since I'd reached out with a plea for help. I returned his week-delayed call WITHIN 20 MINUTES - by which time he was off the grid. Worse: in his voicemail he said "I'LL TRY YOU BACK TOMORROW EVENING..." and 4 days have passed and he has YET TO CALL. NOTE TO TRAUMA THERAPISTS - when people reach out and LEAVE A MESSAGE that they need help... TO NOT RETURN PROMPTLY and string them along with false promises of connecting is SHAMEFUL - unethical and belies what they supposedly make a living doing - helping those who need help. There are other great Trauma therapists out there - DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME - Dr. Scott does not truly care and hasn't the time to even make an appointment.
