Dr. Robert C Wubben, MD

Had surgery done by Dr Wubben and follow up appointments were not pleasant! He was in a hurry and not friendly or patient. Good surgeon but very cold.

Had a fall at home on a Friday night. Sat over the weekend. During weekend looked up Theda on Network Health website and found it. MRI on Monday. Wubben saw me on Monday night and stated I needed surgery on both legs based on MRI. I asked him if he was in my plan and then I said to him "you need to be in my plan" He looked at me for 2-3 seconds and said will schedule surgery for tomorrow(Tues). Well, found out couple weeks later that Theda was not in my plan despite finding on website. They said I looked it up wrong but as it turns out Wubben isn't in my plan either. I told him he needed to be in my plan but he ignored. He probably figured he was getting paid one way or another. Wubben may be decent surgeon but his manner and ethics suck. Will now be saddled with potentially 10's of thousands in medical bills. Watch out. By the way, the RN caseworkers at Theda are told not to tell patients if the patient is out of their plan. RN's are suppose to be patient advocates not… contribute to an already bad situation.

Extremely Rude! He actually insisted my wife try to raise her arm after she told him the four previous times she attempted it, it fell out of place. She politely refused and he said "Fine! I'll see you after the MRI". He then left in a huff. When the MRI results came back in he didn't ask her to raise it anymore. The rotator cuff was torn and the bone was broken. It was obvious to him it would have fallen out again. Thankfully the surgery was scheduled with another surgeon.

Dr Wubben put me back together after a fall. My shoulder and bicep muscles now work well and I have a full range of movement!

I hate to give as negative rating, but BUYER BEWARE!!! I had corrective shoulder surgery, the Anesthesiologist ran out of drugs to keep me under... you guest it, I was awake during the last 1/2 of the surgery. I warned both dr.'s about this several times, yet they failed to keep me properly sedated. Obviously they couldn't finish the surgery... there was more repairs than what the MRI showed, now they are out of sedation meds!!! Compounding the situation I was given explicit post op instructions while still under the O.R. Medication. I didn't remember any details... I was drugged up and had a mini-stroke a year prior surgery. It wasn't until over two weeks after the surgery that I was reprimanded by the doc (while he muttered some cursing under his breath)for not following up with P.T.on a timely basis. Since my surgery was a minimal repair, it didn't last properly, now I have to have it done correctly, and I am facing a second surgery to avoid a "frozen shoulder." Dr. W. has… the worst communication skills I have ever seen. He showed no regard of my diminished capacity due to stroke. I found him arrogant and very rude. Adversely, his nurses and front office staff are wonderful. Thanks for nothing doc!
