Dr. Robins Jeffry Newton, MD

I called to schedule an appointment with Dr Newton after my primary doctor referred me. The front desk was incredibly rude and acted like they were doing me a huge favor when all I was doing was scheduling a appointment. The NCV tech was also incredibly rude. I would not recommend going to this practice based on her alone. Like others have noted, Dr Newton doesn't have the best bedside manner but I can at least get past that part. Although, multiple test were ran and he didn't even give me an idea of what might be causing my pain. He just repeated what I told him from the very first appointment. At the end of the day, he couldn't find anything wrong and I can't fault him for that. Overall, the staff alone is enough for the one star review. And I know there aren't a plethora of Neurologists in the area so I understand a lot of people will still be seen at this practice but I don't know how it could be worse.

My doctor referred me. After waiting some time past my appointment time, which he apologized for. We continued on. He was distant. Didn't seem interested. Like it was something he wanted to get through. He took notes. Very quick to the point. He asked lots of questions. To which I could barely reply. He interrupted me multiple times. He suggested I go back to my eye doctor for a test & come back to his office. The front desk lady was nice. Newton was a bit rough when taking my BP. I wasn't weighed, no temp taken. My appointment was 8/18/23. I'm extremely curious.

Dr Newton is an excellent caring doctor. He has seen my husband through a very difficult time and we will always be grateful to his fine care and attention to detail. He also has taken extra time to almost immediatedly follow-up with us on my husband's test results.--- helping to easy some of our anxiety. We highly recommend him as a doctor.

i Really like Dr. Newton this was only my second visit to him , he works fast on taking care of his patients . I have had headaches since 2012 from a head injury I went to him to see if he could find out why my headaches have gotten worse the first visit he ordered a mri and had me in his office for the results shortly after the mri was done. The ladies in his office are all very polite as well they seem to care about the patients to.i will continue driving from Anniston al to see Dr. Newton he has earned my trust as a good doctor he’s a doctor that will get to the bottom of what’s going on..I have only a lot of respect for him . I saw Dr Newton for my migraines and he was short tempered, dismissive, rude and hostile right off the bat for absolutely no reason. He displayed the disposition of a person who is about to get into a car wreck which was very alarming. Then he started complaining about how much office work he has to do to me and I just met the guy! I was literally having a migraine and I told him I was in a lot of pain and having light sensitivity issues and he cuts me off and starts complaining about his job during the visit I am paying for!! I can barely see out of one eye at this point because of the migraine and he is keeps steering the conversation back to his inability to use a computer and acts extremely hostile when I want to ask him questions about the medication he prescribed! I've never been treated so poorly by a doctor in my life. I will definitely never go back there and I would urge all of my friends and family to do the same.

Staff and doctor very professional.

I was seen by Dr Newton. I arrived and handed him a disk with an MRI and the reading of the MRI from UAB emergency room. He read the reading said it told him nothing and would not look at the MRI. Instead he said that the radiologist needed to tell him what was wrong. Avoid this guy!

Absolutely Professional and an expert on my seizure condition. I have no problems with scheduling and very short wait times in office for apppointments. Dr Newton asks the right questions and listens to answers in a very caring way. He is the best nuerologist I have had so far.

I went to Dr. Newton because my son was having headaches, vision and bloob pressure problems, his office staff was mean and the doctor was very arrogant and would not look at me or my son and then sent us over for a MRI and i had to call for results, finally i gort a return call from the doctor and he stated that the results were normal, all was fine, 2 months later we called for the results because they were never sent to the referring doctor and the results were not normal, my son had a paranasal sinus cyst, and I am very angry about this because we have made emergency room visits because of his arrogant attitude!
