Dr. Rodger Kenneth Garrett, MD

My initial impression of Dr Garrett was very high but I had to leave his care because it was continually becoming poorer and poorer. His staff was rude and I refused to be seen by several of his PAs. I’ve never done that before. The last appointment, he scanned my records after coming into the room and continually kept making mistakes. Not sure if I will ever go back after years

I ed last week requesting a different muscle relaxant. The lady that finally answered said she would check, and call me back. It's almost been a week with no call returned. I checked with my pharmacy. No new med ordered. This is bad business. At least when it was Gulf coast pain institute. They had a answer machine. A week later, I'm calling again. Phone just rings, no one bothered to pick it up. Again bad business. I have been with my dr for years. I have ask per documentation for my meds to be changed. Nothing is being assessed about my pain level. I'm at odds what to do about this. I don't want to have to find another dr. I don't dr shop

Dr. Garrett and his team are AMAZING. He listens to me! He explores other options for pain relief before resorting to the needle, or procedures with the highest paying codes. He is very genuine, greets with a smile and thorough!! If you are looking for a doctor that will keep you coming back because it “happens again” then rushes you on your way, this is not your doctor. If you are looking for a doctor to treat your pain based on your situation, concerns, looks beyond the obvious reasons for pain, and desires to make you better, THIS IS YOUR DOCTOR!!!

Dr. Garrett is by far the very best doctor I have ever seen! He is passionate about his career and will guide and coach you through your treatment options! I highly recommend Dr. Garrett to any patient seeking the very best in their pain management care!

I have been seeing Dr. Garrett for about 4 years now. I had a really hard time dealing with my pain and understanding what was wrong with me. I am so pleased that I was referred to Dr. Garrett. He takes his time and is sure to answer all my questions and he ensures that I understand what he is telling me. He really cares and he has been in a similar situation. Sometimes there is a long wait at the office but I do not mind waiting because I know that he is giving some other patient the same level of service that he is giving me. Dr. Garrett is worth the wait. He helps with my pain and also helps me in dealing with the pain mentally and emotionally. I would recommend him to anyone. I do think that the employees at the check in/out counter could be a little nicer and maybe smile a little. They often times make me feel like I am bothering them and they ignore patients when they walk up to the counter until they are ready to say something to you.

Awesome Doctor who actually treats you like a person not a paycheck.

EXCELLENT CARING DOCTOR

It is sometimes hard to get rescheduled. Can't always get through to the operator to speak with someone at the front desk. If you don't see Dr Garrett, you might see a nurse. The last time I was there, the nurse changed my medications.

Dr. Garrett is the only doctor in our area who sees patients who suffer from migraines. He is the only doctor I have ever seen, in the 30+ years of suffering from migraine headaches, who has been able to alleviate a large percentage of my migraines. He and his staff also are very polite, patient, and understand their patients' suffering. I wish there were more doctors like him.
