Dr. Rodney Lynn Crabtree, MD

One of the statements that bothered me was when I visited Dr. Crabtree I told him I needed a physical with full blood work. He responded to me asking me why the blood test? I told him I always have this done once per year so that we are proactive on anything that shows up. His response was that THEY don't really believe in annual blood tests because if something shows up, then they have to spend all kinds of effort trying to figure out what is making the test results wrong. He believes in symptoms first then if needed a blood test can be done. I don't really agree with that. Now I am informed he is no longer employed at the hospital.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Crabtree for over a year since moving to Wenatchee. I’ve been in multiple MVA in that year and overall his practice has been extremely underwhelming. He appears uninterested and distant concerning my injuries from the accidents and blamed abdominal pains I was experiencing on mental health issues. When I did come to him for successive follow ups he is short and I feel as though he is a one issue per visit doctor. Following up for shoulder injury, mental health and abdominal issues each required separate visits due to him dominating the conversation and leaving immediately after he’s done talking. With the mental heath issues I’ve been experiencing and reduced mobility from the accidents I’ve had issues making my appointments and been ready to give up on ever getting better. I’m in serious need of a mental health referral but was unable to address it at my most recent appointment due to his poor bedside manners and found out today that I was released from his… practice. I don’t know what to do and fear for my mental health now and the future of my shoulder without continuity of care.

Maybe it's the way I express my self but Dr. Crabtree rarely seems to get what I'm saying. He restates what he heard I correct him and it's like he doesn't hear me. I've never had this problem before with any other DR. Also tests tests and more tests and specialist referrals seem so common. I chose an internal med Dr. so I wouldn't need to see a specialist every time. Really nice, really smart Dr. but not the right fit for me.
