Malpractice

Despite having talked to both insurance and Millennium’s biller, to clarify that we owed nothing because Dr. G. is in-network, tried to collect $400, as "the doctor's personal fee". Wore a thin surgical mask (during the pandemic). Made racist and scientifically inaccurate remarks in attempting, apparently, to dissuade us from the procedure we'd come in for (newborn circumcision, which he said isn’t medically necessary, that there’s no evidence it reduces the risk of infection with anything (incorrect), that as far as HIV goes, the only way to prevent HIV transmission is monogamy and that the reason so many people in Africa have HIV is that “the men there aren’t monogamous. The men have three or four women.”) When we left in disgust, WITHOUT the circumcision, he said, "Very good."

I went there for my pregnancy, usually waited 2 hours for a 3 minute appointment. I over payed them $300.00 it’s been 6 months and they have not refund my money. They always have an excuse. Next week and etc. They always have you on hold or they never answer the phone. This doctor is a joke does not care for his patients only cares about how much he’s going to bill your insurance. Do not waste your time going to this awful stealing doctor.

They schedule you to come in and then have you wait for anywhere from 45minutes due to the doctor not being in the office. He usually does not arrive till 9:30 or later. You also have others ahead of you so you end up waiting another 20 minutes. When you finally see the doctor he always says the same 3 sentences which is very frustrating and then leaves. HE never answers questions and when he does his answers don't make sense or it's a I don't know. His nurse is super sweet and tries to help and she gives more information then freakin doctor!!! it's amazing that he can get away with this and have so many patience's still.

The worst place to go, I made an appointment as a new patient for 1pm his office called me to change my appointment because the office was closing earlier do to the Doctor having patients at the hospital, they moved my appointment to 12pm got there at 11:45 am the doctor was not even at the office and had 3 patients ahead of me. He got at the office at 12:50 the first 3 patients were seen in 15 minutes, at 1pm he walk out of the office and I ask him what about me? ( I was already waiting there for more than an hour and he told me he had another patient to see at the hospital did not even apologized he said he was coming back in 20 minutes. I really do not understand how he is practicing he has no work ethics and in that matter education he clearly does not care about the patients time. I would NOT recommend him to anyone!!

My experience with Dr. Gonzalez was horrible from start to finish. His receptionist was rude. His waiting room was tiny but always filled with too many people and pregnant women would have no where to sit. The waiting room Furniture is disgustingly old and dirty. My wait time was usually an hour. Dr. Gonzalez usually showed up 30 minutes after I did. Once I was in the exam room, he only would spend 5 minutes with my husband and I. He never answered our questions and would rush us out of his office. He never explained anything. He induced me a week early for his own convenience, which I did not know till later. Being induced early caused a lot of issues during birth. My baby was stressed and was pretty much forced out when he was not ready. My due date was off and he was considered premature. I will never forgive Dr. Gonzalez for that. I do not recommend him, please look elsewhere for a provider.

I was told the doctor would be "moderate and compassionate". Unfortunately, I didn't have the same experience. The 45 mins in the waiting room didn't turn out to be as worth it as I'd hoped. Seemed like he made his assessment of me within 60 seconds of walking in the door, but the good side is that I realized how good my old OB was and decided to go back to them.

If you just want to be in and out of an appointment Dr.Gonzalez is the way to go typically office visits take 5 mins from the time they place you in the room. The reviews are very true the receptionist is rude. Dr.Gonzalez is nice and will speed you through the visit, which you may or may not like.
