Dr. Ronald Bloom, MD

It was a great appointment experience. Such a change compared to Northshore University care. I was able to get my appointments in timely manner. I was able to see a real Gastroenterologist. No one told me that I have to see NP or PA. I didnt have to be on the phone for hours, like at Northshore University. Happy I found Dr Bloom.

Went to see Dr. Bloom for Crohn’s. Easy to book an appointment and available on the phone in a timely fashion for help/questions. Cares about his patients, which makes you feel comfortable in his office.

Dr. Bloom gave me medical advice last year when I had a life-threatening condition. While several other doctors suggested that I undergo a GI procedure (which was also profitable to them), Dr. Bloom told me that, in my situation, the GI procedure was very dangerous and I might end up needing an emergency surgery if I proceeded. He recommended a safer option - imaging, which helped diagnose my illness quickly. I think Dr. Bloom is a trustworthy and caring physician who makes recommendations with his patients' best interest and safety in mind.

Dr. Bloom was excellent. He took his time to explain things to me and answer all my questions. Also, when I had other questions about medications and after the procedure was complete he was very prompt to answer.

Been going for several years and Dr. Bloom and his staff have been terrific.

Walked into the room and called me the wrong name. Talked the entire time, and told me I most likely had IBD. Needs to work on his professionalism, and recognize not everyone is just another colonoscopy.

I went to see Dr. Bloom for some stomach issues. He was more concerned about a recent software/computer upgrade than my health. At the end of the visit he remembered that he did not even give me an exam. So he gave me a basic overview. Would not recommend this doctor.
