Dr. Ronald Joseph Castro Sr, MD

If you want a Dr to treat you like you are a human that has a brain do not go to this guy. I asked questions that would have saved my son's rein and he acted like I was an idiot. He had broken windows every visit. Now I know why. This was 20 years ago so I am sure there is no improvrment.

Dr. Castro has been my OB/GYN for several years, and he has been a trusted doc to me. I've had quite a few issues that brought me to see him as a patient starting since roughly 1998, when my then GYN quit the profession (yes, QUIT) altogether the day before I was scheduled to deliver my first baby. He took me as a patient in and delivered my son, all the while as caring and professional as I needed him to be. I have needed him throughout the years for various procedures and concerns, and he also delivered my youngest in 2002. I feel I can bring anything up to him to discuss and feel listened to and understood. He talks to me in a manner which encourages me to be honest and forthright. I am grateful to have found a doctor who is someone I admire and respect. Thank you, Dr. Castro.

This "office" is a nightmare. It took 10 days of calling multiple times each day before someone finally answered the phone so I could make an appointment and there is no way to leave a message. The doctor has only ONE person in the office with him and she functions as his medical assistant, receptionist, scheduler, and billing/insurance coordinator. The "office" is uninformed when it comes to insurance co-pays and demands money up front for services---even when there is NO co-pay.This doctor does surgery on patients who have no way to contact him should there be a complication (the answering service is the doctor's own voice mail and he does not return calls).As both a provider and a patient, there is no way I would ever refer a patient to this physician.

I love Dr. Castro and his staff! I've been with him for 12 years now. He is very intelligent and caring. I would def recommend him. I'm so sad he doesn't deliver anymore, hoping to have a baby soon.

As you can see from my ratings, the office staff did an awesome job! Dr. Castro however, was unprofessional, rude, and treated me like I was stupid when I asked valid questions. He fumbled around my questions and broke down the menses cycle for me like i was a child. Which even if I wouldn't have understood, still did not address my problem. I came out of my first (and last) appointment: confused, frustrated, and offended! I would not recommend this doctor to anyone!

I have been going to DR Castro since i was 16 and now im 42, HE'S the best doctor.
