Dr. Ronald B Cohen, MD

Dr. Cohen is an exceptional doctor. He reviews notes, tests and other important information concerning you either before or sometimes when he sees you. He's extremely thorough and cares for you as his own. I'm a second generation patient. I believe he extended my mother's life and she passed away at 93. His care and constant guidance greatly improved the quality of her life too. He followed her closely and constantly when needed. I credit him for saving my life and greatly improving my quality of life as well. After watching him care for my mother as a family member I decided to use him as I got older. He discovered a complete blockage of my Left Assending Distal. The main artery of the heart that supplies half of the oxygen to the heart. It's called a widow maker and thanks to Dr. Cohen I was not a victim of it. I can't say enough nice things about Dr. Cohen and refer all of my friends and family to him. They all have similar stories to tell. He's simply the best of the best. Alan S.

I’ve been his patient since 1991. I think I terms of training and knowledge he’s the gold standard. Quiet and humble, he listens to one’s stuff. He is very attentive to a patients physical status and documents it while you are worth him on the ever present system computer. I’m so sorry we have this crazy Med system where all the private practices are now corporate “hedge” funds. Not the fault of the docs. I think I can sometimes feel the pressure of minutes ticking under these new systems. Dr. Cohen cares about his patients and knows what he’s doing. Bottom line: I’m one of the lucky people whose always had full medical coverage via my job. And he’s been there much of my adult life.

Dr. Cohen is extremely competent and is very compassionate. He is meticulous in his documentation and care for his patients. He reviews and updates himself every visit. I feel that he is a large factor in my mother’s longevity. I have so much confidence that I became one of his patients.

Dr. Cohen is a good doctor, but he takes too many calls during office visits. Despite that, when he is looking at you and listening to you, he is attentive. In my case he did everything I thought a doctor should do, and seemed very knowledgable. I overlooked the interruptions. I wish he would consider the fact that some people get distracted by his calls, and that can affect good communication and trust.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cohen's for more than 20 years. I have always found him to be a a truly dedicated, caring professional. He never rushes you and always listens to everything you have to say.

Dr. Cohen has been my primary caregiver since 2000. In that time, he has demonstrated the highest level of care and concern for my overall health needs. Three years ago, after monitoring a leaky mitral heart valve for many years, he recommended a visit to a surgeon. The surgeon concurred with his recommendation and the repair was performed. Dr. Cohen took the time in his busy schedule to visit me in the hospital. He continues to care for my health and discuss any concerns at each yearly physical. I am totally confident and very grateful to him for his professional expertise and his genuine concern.

i am not sure if i can call him a doctor! i have changed my primary doctor to him due to some insurance changes and didn't know what i got myself in to. He has very poor diagnostics skills and all he cares about is just to fill out some paper and leave you with that. He has a bare minimum knowledge in recent medical field and he should definitely not practice.....What a shame for North Shore!! PLEASE INVESTIGATE BEFORE YOU GO TO SEE HIM!!!

DR COHEN IS A VERY COMPETENT CARING DOCTOR. HE IS ANAL, WHICH IN MY OPINION IS GREAT IN A DOCTOR. HE IS VERY THOROUGH AND PAYS CLOSE ATTENTION TO MY COMMENTS. HE IS CLEARLY THE BEST PHYSICIAN I HAVE BEEN TO.
