Dr Ronald DeWald performed my surgery in 1979 for scoliosis correction with a Harrington rod. My long recovery in a Halo cast, followed by a Nehru cast were worth it, because 41 years later, I have never had a problem with my back and my lung capacity is normal. I am 70 years old now, and feel fine. The appearance of my back was greatly improved, and as a result of the surgery, I gained 2 inches in height! Thank you again Dr DeWald for being a miracle worker in my life!

Dr DeWald was the best surgeon. He corrected my spine almost 30 years ago.

Dr Ron Dewald took me on as a patient (Grade 4 spondiliolesthesis) after 2 botched operations by other surgeons. It took several surgeries to prep me for the big surgery to essentially build me a new spine (with pedicle screws and a ton of allograft). I had endured 25 years of 10+ sciatica pain, and severely decreased mobility, and after that last operation in 1990, and through today, I have been pain free, and enjoying a normal life. To me, he performed a miracle, and he and his surgery team deserve every accolade we can post to this great surgeon. Thank you again Dr. Dewald...Sam ORear

Dr. Dewald put my Harrington Rod in 30 years ago. He saved my life. I’ve never had any problems since. He’s amazing !

In 1973 at the age of 20, I had a 65 degree scoliosis curve. Dr DeWald straightened it a bit and then fused it and stabilized it with a Harrington Rod. I have had very little back problems since that time. I am now 66 (also had 3 children). My spine is strong and I never suffer back pains. Dr DeWald gave me a chance to do many wonderful things in my life. I know I would not have enjoyed life as I have if he didn’t operate on me those many years ago.
