Dr. Ronald V Hudanich, DO

I am 73 years old. After many years suffering from osteoarthritis of my right knee, more than 20 years, I decided to have a total knee replacement. Prior to this operation, I had tried all the variants of the so-called alternative medicine: stem cells, plasma, hyaluronic acid, knee strengthening exercises, etc. All these options only gave me relief for several weeks or a few months, but I would relapse again with pain and inability to lead an active life. The total replacement operation of my right knee was done by Dr. Ronald Hudanich and his team. I must admit that the first month of recovery is extremely painful, but exactly one month after the operation, I was able to drive my car, two months later I was able to start walking and exercising with my exercise bike, three months later I played golf, and I exercise with my bike on the Orlandol trails. It's been 3 and a half months since my operation, I feel perfectly fine. Dr. Hudanich is an excellent professional, not only at the… time of surgery, but also in the responsible monitoring that he does of the evolution of the operated knee. The success of the operation also depends a lot on who is responsible for doing the physical therapies that the doctor places as part of the treatment. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Hudanich. Thanks to him, I have recovered my quality of life.

Dr. Hudanich was with me all the way, as was his NP, Jamie. I couldn't ask for a more caring and knowledgeable doctor. This was my second knee replacement, and I have had much less trouble with this one by Dr Hudanich than the other by a different doctor. Covid hit during my therapy for the first one, so my recovery did not go well. I am working very hard with physical therapy to control the thick scar tissue I lay down. Jamie Marques, the NP, monitors my progress through all of my recovery. I feel very comfortable with Dr. Hudanich, who felt very at ease talking with my daughter long distance at every appointment, giving her detailed information. I recommend him 100%!

Dr. Hudanich is an excellent doctor. His bedside manor is awesome. His staff in Oviedo is the best of any doctor I've ever had. He has done both knee replacements on me and I'm doing so much better than before the surgery.. Jamie is a PA and if you see him he is also excellent. I would never go anywhere else!

I waited three decades to repair a problem with my right hip after an injury. So happy that I did. Great care. Staff were helpful and polite. Dr Hudanich was amazing. No pain any longer

Dr. Hudanich is a great surgeon! It has been 7 days since he did surgery on my left knee and he has made this less painful than the first surgery done by Dr. Burkhart. Dr. Burkhart left me limping and in pain. Dr. Hudanich did what is called a revision on my knee that had had surgery only a year and a half ago. He had to go in and clean up the meniscus and bone spur that were left by Dr. Burkhart as well as resetting a new connection to the tibia. This man cares about the amount of pain you have. I will always struggle with the cheep old style implant that Dr. Burkart placed in my knee but to have my knee bending again and be in such little pain from what I was in is a blessing. Do not go through what I did. Dr. Hudanich will fix it. He is very busy but it is worth waiting for him!

My husband had a total hip replacement less than 2 years ago with Dr. Hudanich, who was recommended. Post surgery, he is completely disabled, can barely walk, and is in pain 24/7. He is not the type of person that complains of pain at all. He went for follow-up and Dr. Hudanich completely dismissed and ignored his concerns and symptoms. He would not even acknowledge his pain! Today, my husband remains in pain, limps, and just wants to be able to walk again without hurting. Dr. Hudanich did not order PT, did not listen to his concerns, and will not help him in any way. This is the absolute worst scenario possible after a THR. If you want a Dr. that assumes no responsibility of follow-up care, then Dr. Hudanich is right for you. Avoid this Dr.!

Phone system 6 months later still dold for hours at times. Like a contractor, going to get better in 2 weeks.

My knees were so painful,so bad, they were bone on bone arthritis. I was so scared of surgery, but he made it so smooth. I’m getting my hip done no I don’t like surgery, I just trust the surgeon!

12 days after a different bad review and still have endless time on hold for an appointment. Pitiful. I'm looking for a different doctor even though this one came very highly recommended.
