Dr. Ronald Jeffrey Mccowan, MD

The Dr is great but my wife only seen him on the day of her surgery. He never kept appts after we waited for hours sometimes. There were two occasions that we driove all the way here to be told by the receptionist that my wife didn't have an appt; the same receptionist that filled out her next appt card reminder. Never ever seem the Dr at a drs appt. they either rescheduled every single appt after waiting in the waiting room or exam or we seen the PA who didn't seem to know much about the condition. Just a bad situation all the way around. The dr is great if you ever get to see him but he seems to be overscheduled. He even cancelled once to go to an anyway convention.

My husband has been seeing Dr, Mccowan for 3 years approxmiately. He ws referred by his cardiologist for low ejection fraction of his heart. The first time we went he saw him, and schduled him for surgery got defibulator/pacemaker. In my opinion he is a great Doctor. His quick reaction to his problem, I feel saved his life. We have never had to wait over 30 min. We will miss him, as he us moving. Thank you Dr. Mccowan!!!!

My PCP referred me to this dr for a premature atrial beat more than likely caused by anxiety. I'm 23 yrs old and read a bad review online but decided it give him a chance. When I arrived on the date and time I was told on the phone and by mail, the receptionist said I wasn't in the schedule and she couldn't locate me in the computer. I wasted 3 hours of my life sitting in a waiting room with no television while the others waiting called Dr. McCowan a "figment of their imagination" and another stated he was a patient for 5 years and still hasn't met the doctor. I was triaged, sent back out for 70 min or so, finally called back at 12:50 (was told to be there at 10:15), and a woman who didn't identify her name or title came in, told me she was sure nothing was wrong, and asked me questions that she didn't care to listen to the answers to. She said they would send me with a heart monitor and see me in two weeks and sent me to the waiting room AGAIN until they could hook me up, but I… decided to end my misery and simply leave. I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to this office.

WORST experience I have ever had with a "dr". Started having SVT's and was told there were very few EP cardiologists in our immediate area. Went to this office and saw a PA. I thought my condition probably was not as serious as other patients, thus a PA every time...even at the hospital for pre testing. Ablation procedure was cancelled while I was meeting with PA the day before my procedure!!!! It literally took months before the procedure was done. I would receive word of delay via call but mostly mail. FINALLY met the dr. the day before procedure for a few minutes as I pre registered yet again. KEEP in mind I have been off work this entire time!!!!!! PA handled everything but the procedure-no really!!!!! Even saw his associates PA once!!!!! One follow up visit with PA (she has now left this practice) was still having problems but have been cancelled for six months. FIRED this guy after receiving my last reschedule in the mail...putting me off another 6 wks. There are more EP… Cardiologists in this area. RUN from this one!!!!!! He certainly appears to be too busy his patients or his practice.
