Dr. Ronald Joseph Prucha, MD

Has helped me in ways that no other physician or person has. He resonates with the problems of those in need of help and has a level of understanding and insight that transcends the normal practice of those in his profession at a level that is nearly spiritual and life-changing. There is no other doctor in the profession like him who can provide the level of connection and confidence that I experienced and I can’t say enough good about this guy.

He was my Primary Doctor when he worked for Duke Medicine in Morrisville and Cary. He is a very compassionate doctor who listened to my concerns about my health. Always coming up with a solution. I miss him, no one has replaced his excellences.

I can not adequately describe how wonderful Dr. Prucha has been in helping me with my issues, and caring for me. He listens to his patients and always shows a great deal of respect for them. I am so thrilled to have him part of my care team. In my 51 years, he truly is the best doctor I've ever had.

I am Dr. Prucha and I am no longer affiliated with Duke Medicine. I am now with WakeMed Primary Care, where evidence-based medicine is delivered with confidence and compassion and listening is at the heart of it all.

Unfortunately I only had two visits with Dr Prucha as my primary care physician before he left the Duke Wellesley practice , and have not been able to locate him to re-establish a patient relationship since. But my visits with him were a positive experience, he was thorough, very knowledgeable and caring physician who I liked as a doctor and person. I'm hoping to find his new location of practice to continue as a patient.

I have been a primary care patient of Dr. Prucha for 2+ years. During that period I experienced many medical issues and conditions that demanded sustained treatment and monitoring. From cardiac care to spinal surgery, multiple neuropathies, muscleoskelatal conditions and many other issues, Dr. Prucha supported me without fail. He worked with me to find the right specialists when I needed them and followed up to ensure I was receiving effective medical care. More than just responding to my current medical issue, Dr. Prucha has been proactive in recommending appropriate preventative care. He actively listens. Let me restate that... he actually listens, asks questions and never makes me feel pressured or rushed. I am much healthier today than I was two years ago. Dr. Prucha helped me get there. I would unhesitatingly recommend him to anyone seeking competent, efficient and personal medical care.

DR. PRUCHA WAS WONDERFUL. HE LISTENED EVEN THOUGH HE HAD LOTS OF PATIENTS YET TO SEE. HE WAS INSIGHTFUL WITH HIS EVALUATION OF MY CONDITION AND FOLLOWED UP BY PHONE TO SEE IF I WAS DOING BETTER. JUST MY KIND OF DOCTOR.

The Dr did not make me wait yet he took all the time needed for my visi. Bad. Messed up and gave me a prescription for only 25% of the pills. Straightened out, took me an extra trip to the Rx, not a big deal.

Dr. Prucha is one of the finest doctors I have ever encountered. I was saddened to learn he left this area. Though some of the Carilion staff was sloppy, cold and uncaring, and weren't very knowledgable in their jobs, I put up with them because Dr. Prucha knew what he was doing and took the time to listen. I wish him the best in all his future endeavors.

Dr. Prucha is a caring and compassionate doctor and one of the few that actually listened to me. he is understanding and nonjudemental and will listen.
