Dr. Ronald Chu Rentuza, MD

My father was seen at Tennova hospital and Dr. Rentuza was the hospitalist for his care. He gave thorough care and took the time to explain to me and my family members everything that was going on.

Dr Rentuza is one of the most courteous and caring physicians I have encountered.

My wife was seen by him tennova he was rude inconsiderate , no regard for any information from any one regarding my wife's condition. I personally think he has NO right having a medical license.

In today's world he handled our problem with intelligence compassion and heart in helping us solve difficult an complicated problems. He went beyond the call of duty in assisting us. Truest a compassionate doctor. One in a million.

I spent time with Dr. Rentuza and he was the worst doctor I've EVER experienced. I spent three days in summit hospital (my first time being hospitalized) and he was the least courteous person I encountered. He spent maybe 2-3 minutes total speaking with me regarding my condition...and sent me home with no relief. Upon request of further information, he told me if he thought I needed more care he wouldn't send me home. I received my discharge papers a few hours later. He sent me home with the same medication from the ER & when I asked for a NON-NARCOTIC prescription for pain in order to function upon returning to work, he refused and told me I could buy it over the counter. Worst experience ever and I hope people see this before choosing to see him!

Elderly patient given medication for agitation that he was DULY NOTED to have adverse reaction to this and others. If you don't read the large line at the top of your computer about "Known Allergies" you are setting yourself and the patient up for major problems. Even when this was addressed to Dr., he only agreed to decrease dose. His partner, hospitalist, cold turkeyed the patient after I expressed my concern that the patient was more like a vegetable than a person. Said he did not believe in requested medication that has worked for what it was intended for. This group does not need to attend to the elderly...especially ALZ, dementia, and/or Parkinson's patients. He was very abrupt when I called his hand on it. Patient was transferred to rehab with pneumonia and major aggression which he didn't have before he went in.

Very haughty and unprofessional. Was untruthful. Would suggest if you get him as a hospitalist to request some else. Gave wrong medication and too much of it. Would not listen to anyone elses opinion.

I was a patient in Summit Hospital and he was the hospitalist. Never ever have I been so insulted by a physician. He treated me like I was a drug using hypochondriac. I work in the medical field. This doctor is the WORST I have ever been in contact with and would never ever let anyone I know be treated by him if he treats all his patients like he treated me!
