Dr. Ronna S Sherman, MD

I had an overall disappointing experience with this physician. While the office environment and basic procedures were acceptable, I consistently felt that the severity of my symptoms was not taken seriously. Concerns that I believed warranted closer attention were often dismissed or minimized, leaving me feeling unheard and unsupported in managing my health. Communication also felt somewhat rushed, with limited effort to explore symptoms in depth or consider less obvious underlying causes. Additionally, the referrals I received through this provider did not lead to any meaningful progress. I was left navigating multiple avenues of care without resolution, ultimately continuing to suffer for at least six months without clear answers or improvement. As a patient, it’s important to feel that your concerns are being thoroughly evaluated and appropriately managed. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Based on my visits, I would not recommend this doctor for anything beyond very… routine or minor issues, such as a common cold or basic check-ups. Patients dealing with more complex, persistent, or serious symptoms may want to consider seeking care elsewhere to ensure they receive the attention and evaluation they need.

Would have been nice to know back in March. I waited for Dr. Sherman because I thought she was a good Dr. with a moral compass. Apparently, I am just another stat to her and the Summit Medical Group. I had a "supervisor" named Lisa call me who was highly combative with me on the phone, so I hung up on her. Whatever the case, I waited 6 months for her and got cast aside by my *former* primary care physician like I didn't mean anything. She did not even have the common decency to talk to me or even have her personal assistant reach out to me. All I got was angry Lisa. You would figure a huge organization like Summit Medical Group would be more professional, but guess not. Id give no stars but that is not an option.

I would not recommend this doctor at all based on her unavailability to see you when you are sick. She works limited hours and is never available and neither are there any covering doctors to see. The answer should not be to go to ready access and wait your turn when you are not well.

While my initial physical / visit with Dr. Sherman was fairly positive, each subsequent visit declined sharply in quality. Dr. Sherman repeatedly made the same optional recommendation I had declined with no explanation, at every visit, regardless of the reason for my visit. She spends far more time at her computer than with her patients, even with an assistant present in the room for the entire visit to type everything up for her. She was prescribing medication to manage a specific women's health condition she purported to know well, but when I asked her to run labs to monitor my hormones related to the condition she was prescribing medication for, she didn't know how to interpret the results and seemed insulted that I was asking for certain tests to bring to other doctors visits. She then ran useless labs and essentially threw the results at me and told me to figure it out myself since I was the one who requested them. Doesn't exactly instill confidence or trust that she should be… prescribing or treating womens health conditions. Do not recommend.
