Dr. Rory Eric Green, MD

I’ve been seeing Dr. Green for 3-4 years now and I couldn’t possibly be more pleased with him and his expertise in helping treat my problems. I was in such a terrible place when I first started seeing him and he’s helped me through it all. First off, he is so extremely friendly. He smiles and jokes around and seriously makes you feel comfortable and not so worried about being at a doctors office. He has always included me in medical and medication decisions. He has always made me aware of possible side effects and what to watch out for. Besides making my appointments feel much less stressful, I love how he always makes sure I’ve brought up anything I want to discuss with him before our appointment is over. He also never rushes me out of his office. He always provides prompt follow-up care whether by appointment, phone call or email. The psychiatrist I saw before him was absolutely terrible and I literally cannot feel any luckier to have Dr. Green as my psychiatrist.

In reading some of the "negative" reviews about Dr. Green, I find it incredibly hard to believe we are talking about the same individual! Dr. Green was my doc for about 15 years (until my move from OR to CA last year). He was VERY present, kind, compassionate, tough when he had to be...and EXTREMELY on top of any meds prescribed! Trying to find a new "Dr. Green" here in CA, will be a definite challenge. He has my greatest respect, admiration and appreciation for his care over the years!

I have seen Dr. Green for the past 3 months. He is compassionate, he is a very good listener and afterwards I often appreciate the direction or questions that come up during my sessions. My progress has been slow but sure with the assistance of Dr. Green. I am glad I chose him.

He was really on top of my psychiatric medicines. In my twenty years of dealing with MD's and their guidance of my meds, Rory is the best!

This man prescribed benzodiazepines to me for years without any mention of the side effects - even when I presented to him with obvious signs of benzodiazepine withdrawal. This class of medications is not supposed to be prescribed for more than 2 weeks! I was sick for YEARS and YEARS because of him - depressed, muscle aches, stomach ailments, vision problems. This man does not care about his patients at all and is very dangerous. He refused to help me through withdrawal and accused me of being a "scientologist" when I told him that I did not want to be on the drugs any longer. Unprofessional and inconsiderate. I feel sorry for anyone who is a patient of his.

this doctor really knows his stuff. whenever I talk to him i just end up felling better. he helps me in ways that i can not help myself. i recommend him.

I have been seeing this doctor for many, many years. Over the years, he has prescribed numerous medications to me anytime I was going through a difficult time in life. Despite repeated requests to discontinue medication and try therapy or something more natural, the doctor has insisted that I continue medication. When I told him that I did not believe in being on medication for long periods of time, he literally got mad at me and started berating me and making fun of me. I left and have never returned. I subsequently stopped all of his medications and feel better than I have in my entire life.

I went to see this doctor after a traumatic event. He took about 5 minutes with me and then prescribed me the most toxic mix of drugs I have ever taken. When I complained, he switched me to a different drug, which I also had complications with. He seemed to be guessing and not to have good knowledge of what the possible side effects could be. He never offered any other options, like therapy, even though I mentioned it myself. I would not return to this doctor.

Doctor seemed indifferent when I reported a bad reaction I had to medication he prescribed. Instead of changing the medication, he kept prescribing additional medications on top of it, which makes no logical sense to me. I got progressively sick under his care.

This doctor is only interested in prescribing you whatever the latest medication is that the pharmaceutical companies are pushing. He does none of his own research and tends to push some of the more dangerous drugs, without disclosing side effects to patients. Not a good track record. Would seek another doctor.
