I had an awful experience in ICU for my father who suddenly because ill and was diagnosed with a deficit on one side and lesions were observed, 2 were found merged together and a third was squeezing ventricles on the left side. She was easily frustrated with questions from the family and seemed to be interested more in completing the surgery than what was best for my father. I realize she wanted to be able to specifically ensure what the lesion was, gbm, cyctic gleoma, or a matestisized tumor (sp?) however, she often did not refer directly ot my father, even though i asked her to - she often ignored him, and when I asked her to not be too direct in some of the topics under discussion she gave me the impression that she wanted to affirm her medical knowledge over hearing what the families concerns were - her badside manner was poor. She also sent in another assistant to try to convince the family to do the biopsy even though the family had decided on hospice which caused a lot of… stress, confusion, and really put a lot of dounts in the family's mind about the doctors intentions.
