Dr. Roy Sean Lackey, MD

Terrible PCP, avoid at all cost. Extremely detached and dismissive at every visits. I finally stopped going in for routine check-up altogether. The final straw is when he refused to prescribe a COVID test for me and my wife that was crucial in order to be repatriated to France. He pretended that he had not seen us for too long and we were no longer his patients.

Inoperative website, incompetent and uncoperative staff, peremptory examination

Dr. Lackey is a good listener and very attentive to my concerns. He is also my husband’s doctor and we both find him to be a caring, thorough primary care physician.

Very complacent and dismissive. very hard to get an appointment with him and he didn't seem to care I was his patient and suffering daily agonizing pain. I went to Dr. Lackey complaining of pain in my right side. He ultimately threw his hands up and had no idea what was causing my pain and said "we'd have to cast a wide net to get down to the bottom of it." He wound up giving me a sheet of paper with suggested dietary changes I could make to try to see if something in my diet was the culprit. I also was referred to a gastroenterologist. 1 and 1/2 years later during a visit to the ER, I found out I had kidney stones and a cyst in my kidney. Can't believe he didn't check for stones especially since the symptoms I described were textbook symptoms associated with kidney stones.

I went to him because my internist who moved was watching test results that were borderline and some outside normal range. Dr. Lackey's office drew blood but he did not even call me back to discuss the results. I called his office to say that I wanted to discuss the results and was told that when Dr. Lackey considers them acceptable, he does not contact the patient. Never went back.

Dr. Lackey performed a cursory physical. Seemed out of it and disinterested. Performed a routine procedure in a way that caused physical injury. The next day I woke up with both of my ears bleeding and I called him to find out what should I do - he called back 4 days later. I went to the emergency room and had to see a specialist to deal with the injuries Dr. Lackey caused. Dr. Lackey also gave me a referral to a PT specialist. The phone number his office gave me was disconnected. All in all - a very disappointing experience. I don't recommend Dr. Lackey to anyone.

Dr Lackey is a compassionate, funny and intelligent doctor. He is thorough and caring and so easy to talk with. I have been looking for a primary care physician whom I can trust and I have found him. I encourage anyone who needs an internist or pcp to check out doctor Lackey

Very impressive primary care doctor, have presented him with fairly serious medical conditions that he handled with obvious expertise and very much appreciated care and suggestions, identifies and focuses on the problem and the best way of treating it and makes excellent referrals when required.

I have MS and require frequent medical care. Dr. Lackey has always been accurate with his diagnosis

Dr. Lackey is an outstanding physician and has helped me considerably over the years. I wouldn't hesitate to send anyone I love to him and in fact, would encourage them to see Dr. Lackey. Unfortunately, Columbia Medical Center is not organized or run well but has nothing to do with the physicians.
