Dr. Russell Stanford Brummett II, MD

He is the most easiest most understanding surgeon that I have met. He made me feel comfortable. In fact, I made it known to him that it was the most comfortable going into surgery of any time is translates to superior.

If I could give zero stars, this would be the first time I would ever want that option. I had seen Dr. Brummitt a couple years ago with back pain. I had numbness in my legs, he gave me steroids and aent me on my way. Did they help, yes they did. So when I had my recent flareup to the point where I literally needed help getting in and out of bed and on and off the toilet as well as getting dressed, I went back to see him at the request of another doctor at the practice who is not a surgeon. She told me everything that was going on with my back and when I saw Dr. Brummitt the first thing he said when he walked into the room was and I quote, “ why are you even here, there’s nothing wrong with you.” I was speechless probably for the first time in my life. I asked him how there could be nothing wrong with me when I could not get out of bed and all I feel is cramping and shocking pain down both legs. All he could say was he didn’t know what to tell me there was nothing he could do for me.… I’ve never felt so dismissed by a doctor in my entire life. He made me feel like I was wasting his time and I left there in tears (the poor office staff felt so bad for me). I went to a different doctor for a second opinion and he saw the exact same things as the doctor that I see there for usually. When I told that doctor what Dr. Brummett said he couldn’t believe it, he asked me did he really say that and I said he sure did. He said I don’t understand it because you have so much going on with your back. I know it’s not a doctor just jumping into Surgery because it was the same thing that a doctor and a PA at Concord Orthopedics said. I have no problem spreading his name and what he did to me and reading some of the reviews, I’m clearly not the only one he dismissed. I’m not sure how a surgeon can look at the same MRI three other doctors looked at and be the only one who said there’s nothing wrong..I just want to say for the record, I see several other doctors at Concord ortho and every single one of them are amazing so please do not let one bad, ignorant, dismissive, narcissistic doctor think the practice isn’t good because it is great

Seeing Dr. Brummett many years ago I decided when new concerns arose to visit Concord Orthopedics again. He was absolutely amazing the first time and even more amazing this time. Thank you to Concord Orthopedics especially Dr. Brummitt in his staff.

Fantastic visit. Dr. listened very well and spoke in words easy to understand. I look forward to working with him on my issues. I highly recommend.

Dr Brummett was very professional with his great bed side manner and gave us all the time needed for any questions we had, left us with follow ups and great suggestions, very optimistic

Dr. Brummett has been treating me for various spine issues for the past six years, from accumulative wear and tear/arthritis issues in my lower back to a serious spine injury to my mid-back in the spring of 2021. Throughout, he has been an exceptionally caring doctor and technically gifted surgeon. His patience, ability to diagnosis and treat a condition, and follow-up care are all exceptional. I would recommend him without hesitation. I'm very grateful for his care.

My appt was with Dr Brummett but I saw a PA named Alan. Because it was my neck and shoulder I guess he sent someone else

What a fast and amazing appointment got there checked in didn’t have to wait long and then went in got checked out and then was maybe only in there for maybe ten minutes but so friendly and upbeat attitude and just made the appointment so fun ??

Don't waste your time because I felt like I was certainly wasting his. Horrible bedside manner. Arrogant,to say the least. Do not expect any information"outside of his wheelhouse". "You are not going to be paralyzed, that's all I can tell you". My PCP actually referred me to the correct doctors where he should of done this on the 1st appt. Complete waste of time, only views you from a surgeon's perspective.

Dr. Brummett gave me 4 minutes of his time. During those 4 minutes he made me feel as if I was wasting his time. He did not even listen nor did he care about what my issue is. Never once asked me. He doesn't 'believe' piriformis is a real thing. When I asked what he thought was causing my pain... his response..."I have NO idea. He clearly did not read my chart or the reason I was there to see him. I did not ask for an MRI. His PA ordered it back at my first visit to the facility. I came in with 3 very clear issues and his PA told me that an MRI could help figure them out. Brummett saw no pinched nerve so completely brushed me off. He referred me to someone else within the practice as he was escorting me out the door. I have NEVER been treated like that before in a Doctors office. I was still discussing my numb foot while out in the middle of the reception area with him as he was walking away from me. His response...'well - maybe you need to see a Neurosurgeon. I can set… that up for you also'. Please don't do me any favors Dr. Brummett. Unfortunately I have horrible insurance which requires me to choose this facility. Otherwise - I would NEVER go back there.
