Dr Ryan E. Bennett, MD

Dr. Bennet and his MA are stellar. I couldn’t recommend Dr. Bennet more highly nor Janelle. They are attentive, good listeners and obviously invested in the patients.

I wish I would have read the doctor's reviews before I allowed him to replace my knee. The pain level was 3x worse before my second surgery. After 3 years my insurance agreed to pay for another knee replacement, that's how bad it was. The second surgeon told me my knee popped off easily. I would never go back to this doctor again. I was nervous about my shoulder as I have a torn rotator cuff, torn labrum and torn bicep tendon. I went for my consultation and Dr Bennett was the most thorough, witty, reassuring doctor I have ever met. I don’t know what others encountered but he even drew pics of my shoulder and told me exactly what he was going to do and why and that it would take 90 minutes and I’d be good. My surgery is in two weeks but so far A+ for the entire staff

I had a issue with my knee tendon. He not only does not have the knowledge to treat my case but every time I had visit with him, he wouldn’t even read my chart to know what is going on. He kept asking me the same question over and over. I wish I would have never go to him because once I changed to other doctor at Stanford, I realized I had other options that was time sensitive and I couldn’t do it anymore. He doesn’t spend the time to research your case if you have a unique issue. The other issue was that after all those visits I asked him to give me a simple accommodation request for my work and he refused to give me the letter. What kind of doctor you are! My worst experience. He doesn’t care enough for his patients. I glad I had switch to another doctor.

I had 2 meniscus tears in my right leg. Dr. Bennett was the only doctor out of 4 others that knew what was wrong with my knee. He ordered an MRI and it confirmed he was right. He preformed surgery on my leg on Dec. 14, 2014. Since that time my leg and quality of life has changed for the worst. First of all, I stopped breathing during the anesthetic and had to be awaken. I went thru the surgery awake. I was not in any pain until he tried to remove the instruments from my leg. He pulled on them 3 times and they finally were removed. I believe he damaged tendons or ligaments on the right side of my leg. Since then my leg is in constant pain and now is crooked. I will now have to have surgery to correct the damage he caused, as it hurts to walk. It effects go all the way down to my ankle.

Dr. Bennett has repaired both my shoulder and my knee in the past 6 months. He is by far the most professional sports medicine doctor I have seen. I have been playing sports my entire life both competitively and recreationally, and have seen a handful of Orthopaedics through northern CA, and none compare to Dr. Bennett. Not only is he an exceptional surgeon, he has a wonderful bedside manner, is very compassionate and thorough when explaining treatment and next steps. He is also almost always on time for office visits, and the front office staff is always helpful and provide excellent customer service. I highly recommend Dr. Bennett to anyone seeking an Orthopedic surgeon.

Besides being an outstanding surgeon, Dr, Bennett took the time to explain the procedures and recovery period to me so that there would be no surprises down the road. His optimism and reassurance helped me to overcome my frustration and impatience.

I did not leave feeling like all my concerns were addressed. After talking to many other people and one other doctor, I learned from them that there are many options to consider regarding my knee. Dr. Bennett did not go over all the different options that should have been explained to me. Will not go back to him.

Dr. Bennett was very thorough. His staff was courteous and friendly. I appreciated how both the Dr. and his staff explained everything and spent time answering my questions. I had to have my knee drained which was painful and he was very compassionate. I would recommend this office to others.
