Dr. Saad Al Alou, MD

Dr. Saad is very good doctor. He is taking very good care of my kids.

Billing department has owed me $100 for 6 months now. They lost a check and now they want me to pay $25 to put a stop payment on the check they lost before they refund me the $100!!

This is a pediatrician that will forever leave a NEGATIVE lasting impression on me and my children. In a nutshell, he managed to display the most awful traits any physician should have. He insulted my parenting in choosing to abstain from some childhood vaccines, he said my beliefs were wrong and that he KNEW better than me. He continued to stress that our parenting choices using alternative remedies in addition to his care was foolish. Lastly, he kept pushing for me to have my 12 year old child get the new Gardisil vaccine. The same vaccine that left several girls dead shortly after receiving this vaccine. No way will we return to him!!!! On a positive note, the front desk staff is friendly.

I was taking my two kids there for years!!! Then one day they told us we owed them Money!! money that I didn't know of until that day!!! The lady that was doing the billing was very rude and made it seem like it had been there for years and we need it to pay!!! I asked the staff why was I not informed of it sooner and she explained they got a new software and that it was show up now what was owed!!!! Now I have always pay what I owed!! Went home my husband and I talked about it!! We could not afford to pay the amount that they where asking at the time!!!! Time passes!! And my kids were doing great right no issues!! Well with our busy schedule forgot to pay the dumb bill!!! What do they do I was told "since it had been there for years" mind we just found out!!! We were told!!! In this exact words " oh, now that your kids need to see him you want to pay!!!! Wow!!!! So they kicked us out!!!! Yes kicked us out!!! When my son need it him the most!!!! And we were going to pay!!!!!! Ugh!!!… Frustrating!!!

About a month ago I brought my two kids in for an appointment. The front office staff kept insisting that I owed money and said I could not see the doctor until the amount was paid. I asked to speak with the biller and they told me she was not available and some young guy who was rude and barely spoke English tried to explain what I owed. He was very rude!!! I kept insisting that I want to talk to the biller and they finally gave me her number. She was very friendly and helpful and was able to explain the bill to me and was very professional and courteous. I was able to setup a payment plan and was seen by they Dr. I had never gotten the bill because the front office "forgot" to update my address when I was in in December. I would have left an never have come back if the biller had not helped me.

I called in to schedule an appointment for my son at 3 pm. Was given an appointment for 11 the next morning. My son was better by the next morning so I called to cancel by 8:30 am and was charged the $25 cancellation fee. Spoke to the office manager and she was did not care that the appoinment was made less than 24 hours ago which is standard policy to cancel an appointment. Front staff have always been great!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Alou. I've taken all 3 of my children, ages 2 thru 15, to him since we moved to Yuma 2 years ago. His office staff is always kind and courteous. There is never a long wait, even when he's booked. Dr. Alou is always attentive and understanding and really cares about his patients. I highly recommend him to every parent I meet.

I recently took my 3 year old son to Dr. Alou as his former pediatricians office closed, and we were very unhappy with our old ped. so we were looking for a new Dr. anyway. I was VERY happy with the service. Dr. Alou did something our former Ped. never did He talked to me without yelling, he actually showed me my sons growth chart and went over it with me, he talked to me about my plans for vaccinations and schooling, he did not judge me or put me down when I said my son was breastfed as an infant and I will be breastfeeding future children, he was nice to my son who at the age of 3 is TERRIFIED of Drs after his last Dr. literally yelled at me and his Grandmother in front of him, at his 2 year appointment which my son remembers to this day. I highly recommend Dr. Alou, and am so thankful our old Dr.s office closed.

I have had difficulty dealing with front office staff at another office in Yuma, but Dr. Alou's staff is courteous, respectful, and cares about your time whether making an appointment or in person. I have (3) children ranging from the age of 2-11 years old, and Dr. Alou has always been welcoming and is always open to listening to all of my concerns about my children. Calling a doctors office should not be a stressful time especially when a family member is sick. The front office staff knows all of my children names and is willing to help at any given circumstance. Thank you Dr. Alou for coming to Yuma!! You have a great staff!

I switched my 5 children to Dr. Alou after being patients of Yuma Pediatrics for over 16 years; due to terrible service from office staff, long waits and poor service from the NP there.After going to Dr. Alou, I realized that Dr.'s are actually caring and take their time to assess the patient. He is great with the kids and listens to the parents. His office staff is wonderful as well.
