Dr. Saba Medhane, MD

An atrocious excuse for a doctor. Her actions over the course of her time as my primary care provider did potentially irreparable damage. She spent years blaming me and my "lifestyle" for what was later confirmed by an actually competent professional to be a hereditary condition requiring medication to manage - that I should have been put on much earlier. The worst part is, I strongly suspected the condition was hereditary and told her so, but she refused to believe me, instead choosing to use jokes and a fake-nice demeanor to mask what amounted to an attempt to push me into an ED. Under her “guidance,” I spent months calorie-restricting a dangerous amount and exercised my already physically disabled body to the point of lasting injury that needed extensive physical therapy. On top of that, she overstepped her specialty and prescribed me antidepressants that I did not need, which had lasting effects on my quality of life as well. Even the specialists to whom she refers patients are… terrible - she sent me to a cardiologist whose methods were laughably outdated and who was shockingly unprofessional to boot. She also consistently ignores messages, including urgent ones, left for her by patients - unfortunately other family members have also been subjected to her nonsense and all but left for dead when they desperately needed their doctor to care for them. The staff in her office are lazy, irresponsible, and refuse to perform basic duties as well - the one and only high point of my experience at this practice was the phlebotomist, of all things. I’ll be kicking myself for the rest of my life for not firing her as my doctor sooner, as I continue dealing with the aftermath of her “treatment.” The best I can do now is warn others.

Dr. Medhane has a great bedside manner. She's very thorough not only in her physical exam, but also in making sure I am physically and emotionally healthy. She also stresses the importance of early screening for diseases for which I have a family history. Her holistic approach to my well-being and health is much appreciated.

I have been going to Dr. Medhane now for 3 years and she is the first doctor I have ever had for an extended amount of time. She is SO nice and tells you how it is, she doesnt flinch when I bring in my post it note of questions and she really is the best doctor I have ever seen. All of Physcian's Associates are professional and friendly. I highly recommend the office as well as the doctors!

When I was looking for a primary care physician, I found many doctors that did not seem personable or caring, I felt like I was being rushed or that it was more about the money than about my care. With Dr. Medhane, she is so easy to talk to and knowledgeable about what she does. She is the best doctor I have found in years.

Dr. Medhane is an exceptional physician and a wonderful person. She warms my heart every time I see her because I know how much she cares. There are not many people like Dr. Medhane, who go above and beyond to help others. I appreciate her knowledge and expertise and I would highly recommend Dr. Medhane to anyone needing a primary care physician.If Dr. Medhane happens to read this review, I would just like to say, "thank you" You have made a difference in my life and my well being.

Dr. Medhane is a stellar physician with a caring bedside manner and a dedication to thorough examination and diagnosis. When I was stricken with a mysterious infection, it was Dr. Medhane, my primary physician, and not the numerous specialists I visited, who took the lead in getting me proper care and diagnosis. She will go above and beyond the call of duty. She is absolutely exceptional, I can't say enough.

I've seen Dr. Medhane for 3 years and sadly am moving away from DC so won't be continuing with her. She's the best primary care physician I've ever had: she knows the field (her degree in public health is a real asset in this regard), she communicates clearly and completely, and she is empathetic. I really felt that we worked as a team.
