Dr. Sadiqa Stelzner, MD, FACS

Would you believe me if I wrote that Dr. Sadiqa Stelzner is a miracle worker? I am a 70 year old woman who had a serious issue with cataracts. I was very much afraid to have the recommended laser surgery in both eyes, but I finally did (3 months ago). And I had cornea replacement. Wow. I saw a different world following the surgeries! A couch in my home which I thought was gray in color turned out the be blue! The world was brighter and lighter. The difference between pre-surgery and post-surgery was amazing. The surgery (which was performed at an out patient surgery center in Santa Monica) was quick and painless. Dr. Stelzner did the surgeries and Dr. Moghaddam did the follow-up. The results were wonderful. The office staff is friendly and efficient, and the office are clean and have state-of-the-art equipment. I am kicking myself that I delayed having these surgeries for so many years. The experience has made a huge difference in my quality of life.

I want to see Dr. Braun at the Santa Monica eye clinic but unfortunately she was unavailable so I was assigned Dr. Stelzner. Upon meeting she immediately suggested Botox and Restylane, neither of which were things I was interested in nor did they apply to my irritated by issues. I was in the clinic because my eyes were red, swollen, and extremely irritated. I wasn’t there for aesthetics to my face. I think this is highly unprofessional, insulting, presumptuous and rude. When I told her I was not interested in any of these procedures and I felt it was out of line she immediately shut down and got extremely defensive. I do not recommend Dr. Stelzner.

I had an eye swelling skin problem for a number of months. Dr Stelzner's advice was completely correct and has really helped me. I have seen three other different doctor's and none of them could solve the problem and none offered the same advice Dr Stelzner did. Her advice worked. Thanks again.

Although Dr. Stelzner is a fine doctor, her office manager is incompetent! In May when I called to make an appointment, the mgr. told me my insurance was cancelled, which was untrue. She repeatedly ARGUED and INSISTED. After several calls to my insurance co. and group, who confirmed my ins. was never cancelled, she refused to listen. Imagine my shock! I even asked the ins.co. to call her. Now I learn that Dr. Stelzner discharged me without any respect, or consideration as her patient, or without asking ME what happened! There are many good doctors out there. But the manner in which a patient is treated is just as important as medical knowledge. I guess " the Hippocratic Oath" thou shall do no harm, doesn't apply here.

Dr. Stelzner performed my cataract surgeries on both eyes at about 2 weeks apart. Each took about 20 minutes and I did not feel any pain or even discomfort. Just a little sting with the first application of the numbing drops, but that didn't even last a minute. I am very impressed with her professionalism and demeanor and highly recommend her and her team for anyone needing to deal with any sort of vision problem.

Dr. Stelzrner is one of the most remarkable Board Certified Ophthalmologist. I had cataract surgery on both eyes and her skills helped me lose my glasses and give me 20/20 vision. She helped me through each stage of the process setting me up by telling me what I could expect. I chose the more expensive lens knowing it would help me. She explained the difference but still giving me the choice. I just love her and what she has given me with skills. Thank you Dr. Stelzrner.
