Dr. Jose Salvador Saldivar, MD

I was very pleased with my experience with Dr. Saldivar and his staff. I was treated with professionalism and attentive care over my two month engagement with the team. Dr. Saldivar, who came highly recommended by his colleagues for his surgical proficiency, exhibited a skillful quiet competence that left me feeling I was in safe hands throughout a stressful medical episode. I would highly recommend Dr. Saldivar and the RGU team for anyone desiring a high level of professionalism, promptness, courteousness, and efficient standard of care.

This doctor was in a hurry when he did my surgery and made a mistake that cost me a kidney. They when confronted the University of Texas Medical Center protected him from a medical malpractice suite.

Very dissapointed. I was scheduled for surgery and because i didnt have all my deductible up front my surgery was canceled. I asked to speak to the Dr and i got different responses from several of the staff. Office manager told me that the Dr himself had said to reschedule my surgery until i came up with the money. I am in total shock. Having told i have cancer and going through this. The staff is very rude and its sad to say they are in the wrong profession.

I had surgery performed, great surgeon, but talked cancer from day one. Even after my tumor markers came in with normal range. when he examined me his exact words were " at this age it is cancer" The nurse told me after he left, she could not believe he said that! Never cried... Thought Okay... My children already lost they're Dad at a young age, How can I prepare them, Had every test imaginable, was in the hospital for 7 days before my surg, before my surg, he told my children in front of me, it will mosy likely be cancer,,, well it was NOT! Thank goodness!! Has according to him a 3 liter cyst on my left ovary, he removed both... I am okay with that decision I am after all 58. But not Okay for him to approach all that it is Cancer and share that with the patient and family!!!! The unknown, I understand, too many tests I had done prior, that for his expertise, should not have been so negative, and mention Cancer every-time he came to see me,,,

He has saved me more then he knows. He is my hero. I have recommoned him to my family and friends. Thank you Dr. Saldivar. I have seen so many doctors for so many years. I was loosing hope. I explained my situation to Dr. Saldivar and he fixed my problem. I am so satisfied with my outcome. No more pain, heavy bleeding or swelling. Someone finally listened to me. Someone one finally did something about it. Thank you so much Dr. Saldivar. May God bless you always.

Dr. Saldivar went out of his way to sheduled my surgery four days after my first appt. with him. Very caring and an excellent Dr.

WORST DR I HAVE EVER SEEN. RUDE. UNCARING. NEVER KNOWS WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. DRS FROM HIS OWN ER CONTACT HIM AND HE STILL DOESNT HAVE A CLUE WHATS GOING ON. ITS BEEN MONTHS SINCE I HAD A SIMPLE SURGERY THAT SOMEWHERE ELSE WOULD COST 1500 BUT HE HAD TO USE A ROBOT TO DO IT AND I CANT WALK AND IN EXCRUCIATING PAIN AFTER THIS SURGERY PLEASE PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

My personal experience with Dr. Saldivar was delightful and not what I expected from a cancer doctor! He is compassionate, kind, confident and a has an excellent bedside manner. Apart from being a great surgeon, he also is a great listener, which alot of doctors lack! He is an expert in Robotic daVinci surgery. In short, he goes highly recommended in my book.

Dr. Saldivar is a very courteous and well-mannered physician. He took his time and gave my mother full attention. His drawings, as a way to explain the disease process, was so helpful. I left his office without a question to be asked and with full confidence in his abilities. I would recommend him to any of my friends.

Dr. Saldivar listened to me and I felt unhurried. His staff was very professional and caring. Hes also a great surgeon with wonderful bedside manners!
