Excellent care. Dr. Barbaro has taken exceptional care of me these past 12 years. He has explained things to me whenever I needed more information.

Dr Barbaro and his staff are the most unprofessional and uncaring team I've ever encountered. There's almost too much to say: they lost records and x-rays after Barbaro performed an angioplasty, Barbaro was on his cell phone discussing other patients' medical histories (in front of us) during our appointment, his staff (Paula) never called when she said she would and didn't remember us anytime we did speak with her. In addition to them being extremely unorganized, Barbaro and Paula are extremely rude. He made us feel like NIOSA and vacation were more important than our heart health.

Office staff is just awful. They are rude, argumentative, and hateful. Had to wait too long to see his stand in doctor, Dr. Miller. Dr. Miller is a sorry excuse for a doctor and I think human being. I had to pay way too much for a preop consultation. I had already been oked by my internal medicine doctor so unsure why I was sent to this awful place except a nurse who was close to Barbaro and maybe wanted to do him a favor. Could not find any thing wrong with EKG so he ordered a electrocardiogram. Which they couldn't do until the following week at their office. I have a surgery scheduled for a week from date. I wanted to go somewhere closer to my home and that doctor didn't like it at all and the office staff threw a fit. It took them 20 minutes to finally write me a prescription. Because they didn't know HOW. I went and got that test done within 2 days. Still a week later I have not heard a word from this office. And I know they were sent the results of the test and it was explain by… another doctor. Finally I called my surgeon's nurse and she said, haven't they called you. NO.. Well they want to to do a stress test. I refused. They have not found out anything to prevent me from having my surgery in 4 days but this Dr. Salvador Barbaro office is doing everything possible to delay my surgery. And my surgery has been set up for a month. I will not go back to these quacks. I went to Barbaro years ago just as a regular check up and he wasn't all that great back them.. I did the EKG and stress test in his office and he told me then everything looked real good but that is not saying you can't walk out that door and die of a heart attack. This practice needs to be shut down. Dr. Barbaro is concentrated on the Fiesta in San Antonio than his practice or his office. All those women in that office behave like he just drug them off the streets and he gave them a pen. Sorry sorry excuse for a medical practice.

While I really like Dr Barbaro, when he enters the examining room, after a brief salutation he immediately starts typing on the computer. He does not look at me until he is about to leave the room and then it's briefly. I think he should have one of the manyladies that work in his office do the typing while he makes eye contact with the patient.

Needed a preopp. Check up. He is very busy. You don't get the warm fuzzy feeling when you meet him.

My husband was taken to the hospital in an ambulance and was in dire condition . Dr. Barbaro was the Doctor on staff at that time. My husband was having a heart attack. This Doctor knew exactly what needed to be done. My husband had to have a stent put into an artery. He was semi conscious what this procedure was being done. He said he felt no pain as he's had stents put in before at the VA hospital and it has always been very painful when they do the cath. After the surgery was completed the Doctor came out and explained what he had done. He was pleasant and informative. I have no complaints about him. I also had contact with his office staff, specifically a young lady named Paula . I believe that was her name. She was pleasant and very helpful. I would refer Doctor Barbaro to others.

Do not go to this cardiologist. If you need a cardiologist you would be better off finding a different one. His office staff is rude disrespectful and charged my credit card without my permission, then claimed to shred the evidence. They lied about a payment plan charges being denied and then charged the entire amount! Plus I have never received any helpful diagnosis

I would have rated zero stars if I had that option. My Mother was flown to North Central Bapt. Hospital with Flash Pulmonary Edema. She was stabilized in ER. Admitted to ICU. Barbaro was appointed to her as Cardiologist. Long story short he set up to do a Cath on her and then could not be found by staff for 2 1/2 days. Finally sowed up and said "sorry I have been sick and it was my birthday". By far the WORST excuse for a doctor I have dealt with. My story is to long to get into the rest. My Mama died after 7 days in ICU. I will stop here. Check him out throughly before you use him.

Rude, unprofessional. Was more than happy to take our copay, but not give any information as he hadn't bothered to read the test we were there to get results on. Avoid!
